Stacey at the Octavus location is nothing short of AMAZING. I got a terrible haircut at a barber down the street from this location. They left strands of longer hair and took a significant chunk of hair out of one side. They also shaved the sides down to the skin. They offered to fix it but I did not trust them to be able to.
I immediately went to Great Clips hoping to get the chunk fixed but imaging it was too short to make it look like anything I would be happy with. Not only did Stacey completely blend the chunk, she fixed the long strands and other spots I did not notice. I wish I had before and after photos because it's honestly unbelievable how she was able to fix it all with such little hair to work with. On top of it all, she was a kind person. She was a lifesaver and I will be going back to her.

Rico was PHENOMENAL. My grandma sings his praises all the time and I finally brought my son in to get his haircut with his first design and Rico made the experience perfect. Patient, great with kids, made sure my son was comfortable and did the cut exactly how I wanted it. Couldn’t be happier

Autumn was my hairstylist. Most rude person I've ever met in my life. The staff is hardly spending 15 mins per person to get their hair right. She was getting irritated for no reason when I ask for some changes. I feel like management and every stylist should understand that the customer has to show his face/hair in public and if they don't feel right the stylist has to meet to the customers expectations, period. Also a note to other staff in the room, when your friend/stylist is behaving that way to a customer it's everybody's duty in the room to correct them and calm them down. I felt like everybody was nodding to her stupid explanation and weren't trying to calm her down. AUTUMN SHOULD LEARN A LOT OF PATIENCE. she was trying to insult me infront of everyone by putting the blower right on my face. I didn't want to make a fuss even after everything but I talked to my friends and people had same experience. I don't know if it's the race thing but I will take it to the higher management. AUTUMN, THE STYLIST and other people in the room should know that people are watching and you need to give quality service.
Things to note:
1. Customer doesn't get what they want, they just get insulted for asking the right look for them.
2. Stylist won't spend more than 15 mins with a customer, they prefer to go to the next customer without taking care of the existing customer first.
3. If other stylists are not voicing the things that their colleague does and just straight laugh on the customer for the rudeness that the stylist shows. That's already a toxic work place.
GREAT CLIPS, PEOPLE ARE WATCHING. GET YOUR STYLISTS IN LINE AND TEACH THEM ABOUT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

Melanie Thornton is great and very professional she is the only one besides Rico I will let cut my hair or beard she is very professional good at what she does and all around a great person thanks a lot Melanie keep up the good work

Not to rage on 1 store but want to give props to another store and person. My husband went to the Dickerson location and they did kind of a botched job. So we went to the next close one which was this one and the wonderful stylist, Melanie help us out by fixing it as best as she could. All at the end of her shift. And make his cut look so much nicer.

Melanie was my hairstylist today and she was amazing. We spoke about how each of us had grandmothers that were beauticians. I showed her a picture of one of the last times my grandma had cut my hair before getting Alzheimer’s and she was able to replicate the same hair style. The picture on the left is the last hair cut I was able to get from my grandmother the other two are from the amazing work Melanie did today. She used the razor cut technique I haven’t had my hair cut like that since my grandma. I hope Great Clips keeps Melanie around for a long time I definitely will be returning. I have found my hairdresser.
