I moved in town last week and thankfully used Underfanger Moving
They were fast,mefficient. It was a bargain and customer service was perfect.
I’d give them more stars if I could. I’m thinking about maybe if they need someone to do a commercial for them, I’m the the guy.

We hired Underfanger Moving in Springfield, IL to help our company, Taxstra PLLC, consolidate our Springfield and Chatham offices into one new space—and they delivered exceptional service from start to finish.
Over two brutally hot days (heat index over 100°), their team of 8 experienced movers—many with decades in the business—tackled five full moving trucks worth of furniture and extremely heavy file cabinets full of documents. They handled everything: navigating stairs and elevators, carefully protecting freshly painted walls, and even hauling away an entire truckload of old furniture to the dump.
We worked directly with Tom and Karen, the owners, who were hands-on and professional. The crew was pedal to the metal the entire time, but never careless. Every item was handled with precision and care. Not a scratch.
If you’re searching for a reliable, professional moving company in Springfield, Illinois, I can’t recommend Underfanger Moving enough. They made a complex commercial move feel easy—and that’s no small feat.

My sister hired Underfanger Moving & Storage to move her and her husband from their home of 50 years to their new residence. Karen was great from the beginning stages of planning through to the end. Making an extremely stressful process much easier to handle. The gentleman that showed up to move her on a hot August day this year were not only extremely professional but courteous and patient. I would highly recommend this company.

Had a great experience with them. Moved to a retirement community and everything went as smooth as silk. Truck arrived on time and was loaded by noon and everything unloaded and in place by 4pm. Great crew!Only complaint ?is they didn’t unpack everything we brought and put it all away…that could take us weeks?.100% rating!

The movers were extremely professional. They loaded and unloaded or furniture with great care. Would recommend them Again. Clifton moving and storage is the best only because the employees make it the best.

Our company had a moving situation that seemed to change everyday and had to happen in an incredibly short time frame. Tom took the time for multiple phone conversations and worked with us through the chaos. The moving team was professional hardworking, and polite, and got everything done much faster than we expected - you can tell they've worked together for awhile. Will definitely be contacting again!

I called last minute looking for labor in Springfield, IL to help unload a 26' moving truck at a storage unit. Tom was always responsive and kind with great attention to detail in spite of this being such a small job. The movers (Chris and ?) were both great and worked really hard. Would highly recommend to anyone and they will be my first call when I move back home.

Easy to schedule. Crew was great. Worked quick and efficient. All of them had great attitudes. Was a little nervous paying per hour but they got in and out of both locations quickly. Hourly worked out better than other bids. Will recommend and use again if needed.

So I reached out to Underfanger In July of ‘22 to help us with a packing and moving relocation project which was time sensitive due to a real estate closing. Not only did they complete on time but they stored our furniture for us for a month until they could make their way here to our new home. The best part was delivery day when Pat arrived, long-term driver and employee. Communication from Tom,Karen, and Pat was great. Everything was professionally white glove delivered and unpacked. Simply amazing how well everything was packed & cared for! Thank you Tom, Karen & Staff!

After a nightmare experience with another moving company, I contacted Tom at Underfanger to move my furniture from storage to my new home. He was very pleasant to work with. On the scheduled day of the move, his team showed up on time and were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. They took great care with my belongings, wrapping each item and securing it in the truck. They carefully unloaded everything and placed it in my home, taking care to protect the floors and corners. I highly recommend Underfanger if you are looking for a professional moving company!!
