Sat there over two hours while they tried to get a Walmart phone to work. It said Verizon all over it and finally they decided the SIM card wasn't compatible with Verizon and the SIM cards they had weren't compatible with the phone even though it said Verizon all over it and the Walmart guy assured me it was. Go to Boost down by macdonald's . Near clear lake.

I went to the store to switch over my phone lines from another carrier. After 3 hours of this process (we have 7 lines) and when our phones were ported we were told that there was a $35 activation fee for our lines. $245 dollars total was paid. We were fine with this as every carrier and company charges activation fees. This is normal. Left the store without issue. I checked my Verizon app today to see what my new bill would be and it is still showing we owe activation fees. After spending an hour on the phone with Verizon customer service (which was excellent), he called the store and spoke to the sales representative that completed our number porting. She told the Verizon representative that these were set up fees, not activation fees. This is NOT what we were told. She specifically said activation fees. I would have drove to the corporate store had this information been provided ahead of time (as it should have been). The Verizon representative couldn't understand why we would be charged set up fees especially since we brought all of our own devices, and nothing had to be transfered. I am extremely upset and disappointed in this location and the representatives. This is extremely bad business and a violation of trust that you place in your store employees to aid you in dealing with the lifeline that our cell phones have become.

I had a prepaid plan with them. After my phone broke they talked me into a post paid plan. The prepaid still charged me for the next 2 months. I was told my post paid bill would be $85 plus taxes. According to Verizon it was $110 plus taxes. They said my first bill was going to be higher than normal but it was $80 higher than the number I was quoted.I spent 4 days talking to Verizon, they promised to lower my bill and refund my prepaid, none of it happened and my prepaid even hit a second time. Now I just get hung up on when I call. Screw these scammed, might as well get them to handle my extended car warranty....

The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. They make it look like an Apple store. Yes, they have Apple phones but I'm an Android person, so I guess that's what puts me off. This is really a place to take care of Verizon accounts if you want to be face to face. Online or by phone is much faster. I always choose by phone. For some reason, I get better deals that way. Maybe I have a hypnotic voice. LOL. This time I had some very specific questions and wanted to see if they had an "official" Samsung screen protector. Spoiler alert, they don't. If there are two customers in the store then it could be an hour wait. That's not because they're slow but most people who want face to face help are going to take much longer. Nothing against them. That might be me one day. It's good if you want to look at the top two or three phones from Apple or Samsung because you won't be interrupted for a while. As I said before, they were very professional, nice, and will spend as much time as you want. Just don't have anywhere you need to be soon.

Never went to a non-corporate verizon store before I went to russel cellular. Highly recommend the corporate store over this place. They didn’t have our phones in stock (that’s fine) so we ordered it with them in store. They tried to trick us into getting their phone insurance. It was worded to me in such a way that made it seem required, but it is in fact not required. Anyways that experience wasn’t all that bad. We ordered our phones that day and were on our way. The phones were back ordered so we had to wait a couple weeks. One phone came in after about a week. They never called to tell us. The other phone came in maybe a week later. Never got a call about either phone arriving ( I tracked the phones using the my Verizon app and knew they were there). So we called and made sure they had the phone and they of course did. We went in the following day 35 minutes before close. They had one employee there working with ONE customer on an activation supposedly. We were turned away and told to come back another day. Anyways, my point is the corporate store would never turn someone away (especially 35 minutes before they close). This long review will post to google before the shop actually closes. At the end of the day, I should have done the phone swap deal online myself or in person at the corporate store. Anyways, I just don’t recommend them. The guy at the store wasn’t even nice about it and acted like it was our fault for showing up a full 35 minutes before they close. The activation process doesn’t take that long… don’t worry we will pack up our newborn again tomorrow in the freezing cold and come back. First and last experience with this place.Update: I went and got my phones and they charged $35 per phone for a setup fee. This is not the same thing as the typical $35 activation fee from Verizon, the fee charged by Russell is in addition to the activation fee charged by Verizon. All they did was activate my phone and it cost me $35 per phone. If you go to the corporate store you do not get charged a “setup fee”. I learned about this after I posted this review. This further proves my point that you should not go to this place. Just drive across town to the corporate Verizon store near Target and you’ll have a much better experience. You’ll save time and money.

Karen was absolutely fantastic. She was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job with our phone upgrades and transfers. She’s the reason we’ll continue doing business with your store.

I stopped in to get SIM cards for new lines that I am adding to my account for using used phones I bought from a 3rd party. I came in was greeted warmly. I explained what I needed. Laura took my info for the sale which was free for being a Verizon customer. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Great service. Now I just go to Verizon.com and get signed up for my 2 new phone lines. Great service!
