Worst service ever. Car died on a Friday evening so we had it towed to Green VW. We called on Saturday and were told the service department was closed because of construction, but they would call us on Monday. We called them around noon on Monday after not receiving a call back. We were told a service manager would call us back. Never happened. On Tuesday we called back again and spoke to Jim who said the car didn’t have an appointment for 3 more weeks. We explained to Jim the car had broken down and needed to be repaired and the appointment was for an oil change we had previously scheduled. Jim was adamant that an appointment was required for any service to be done. He advised he would have Marquis, a service manager, call us back but he probably wouldn’t be able to move up the appointment. After 3-4 hours we called back again because we had not heard from Marquis. This time we were directed to the voicemail for the Toyota dealership. We called back and spoke to Jim again who maintained the car did not have an appointment for 3 weeks. After getting no where with Jim we requested to speak to his boss, Ebony. Instead we were transferred to the elusive Marquis who said they probably couldn’t even look at the car until the oil change appointment 3 weeks in the future. But if someone else canceled he might be able to have someone look at it in one to two weeks. When we pointed out the oil change guy wasn’t going to be diagnosing and repairing the car, Marquis said he would shift a qualified mechanic to that bay but he couldn’t promise to get us in any sooner. Marquis advised we really should schedule an appointment before having the car towed to the dealership. He advised the next available appointment was 4 weeks away. When we explained that was not a customer friendly way to run a car service center, Marquis said he didn’t like where this conversation was going. We told Marquis we would like to speak to his boss Rick he responded that he would leave him a message and hung up on us. The moral of the story is if you’re going to break down, make sure you anticipate it about 4 weeks in advance.

Rick Rutter, the service manager, was the absolute best! He got me in and took care of my recalls and even fit me in to repair my water pump and a belt last minute so I would have minimal downtime. Very much appreciated!

Hopefully, the scheduling process will improve once remodeling is completed
I had to wait almost a month to obtain an appointment for Volkswagen alarm and light issue to be diagnosed.
Once diagnosed the problem was addressed and fixed

I went in for an annual oil change on my Volkswagon. The service there was great, especially with the ongoing construction. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
There was an issue the next morning but a phone call was made and the problem was rectified.

Overall, the service experience was just OK. I got an appt for a couple days after calling. The advisor was friendly. The work was completed in a fairly timely manner.
My problem was that the service cost was not disclosed before the work was to be done. The paperwork they had me sign, had $0.00 for the cost estimate. And it ended up costing more than I was told.
I came in for a transmission fluid service on my VW Passat. I had to ASK for an price and was told twice that it would be around $300. (+$20 for an added on tire rotation). I asked if that included the filter, and was told YES, it would be replaced as well. Sounded great, I requested it done.
Once the work was completed, she handed me a bill for $470, and told me that the fluid they needed was expensive.
Even though they knew what I was coming in for, they were still surprised by this?
I also mentioned that I did not see a filter on the invoice, and she said that not all cars have them and that she cannot keep track of which ones do or don't.. (I believe mine does, that it has a cartridge and an internal filter). I was not expecting the trans pan to be dropped, but was trusting that the cartridge filter would have been replaced.
Now can I even consider the job complete?
When I expressed that it was $150 over the estimate she had given me two hours earlier, she offered to take $50 off. Sure, it's something, but still ended up being $100 over what I was told when I handed my keys over.
Overall, that left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, and even though I was looking forward to using the dealer to service my VW (yes this was my first visit, we are new to town), I don't know if I can trust any price estimate from them, and don't feel like writing a blank check each time I go in.
Ps. I will likely NOT be back for the other $1,600 of estimated work that you are recommending.... if they would even be the actual price in the end...
