Horrible experience with offer of service for one wash that turned into auto billing the largest monthly membership without authorization. No response to phone request to cancel. Don’t go there. Credit card rip off and many others locally had the same thing happen. Take your business elsewhere.

I would rate negative stars if possible. purchased a one time works wash and Clearwave fraudulently switched it to a membership with continuing payments. Second time this happened and attendant assued me it would not be a recurring payment. They are scammers and should be boycotted!! File a complaint with the city!

i was approached by a smiling attendant as I was choosing my car wash from a menu in St. Charles. He offered me a great value to get this one car wash and unlimited washes until the end of the month for the same price as the first. Pay for one and get the others included. Seemed like a good deal until I discovered that I was signed up for the max deal charged to my credit card monthly without my authorization. I finally noticed 3 months later after looking at my detailed bill and tried futilely to call and get this resolved. No answer in spite of repeated attempts. I, of course, have never been back and you, obviously, should never go. What a scam on the consumer and apparently I am not the only one. Never use Clearwave in Stc!

Same as other people!! Went to the car wash two months ago. The guy told me they had a promotion that any wash was $9.99 cuz of the “inflation prices” they were looking to help people. Never was I told that I was going to be subscribed to anything or having any recurring charges but of course, when look two months later I have two separate recurring charges of $38 and I only went that one time!! This is illegal and will be disputing this. I’ll be telling everyone NOT to come here and I definitely won’t be surprised when I see them out of business. They are that desperate for money that they keep customers card info in their system. BEWARE AND STAY FAR AWAY!! Unethical and just plain wrong. You all should be ashamed of yourselves!

My wife was sold on a one month membership trial for $19.99. Was told her card would be charged one time and that’s it. Would not auto renew. The person who sold her the one month membership insisted she would not be charged again. Here we are one month and there is a charge for $32.95 on my credit card. Scammers and straight up liars. Called and left a message about our dilemma. We’ll see if they call back. Disclaimer on their message is that if we want to cancel membership we have to go to website. Canceled the membership but did not receive a refund for $32.95. Next step will be going down there and getting in someone’s face unless I see results immediately. I have no problem disrupting business until we straighten this matter out. Wash is no good too. Hire someone to dry the car instead of having the person selling you their scams.

They signed me up for a subscription car wash service without my knowledge or consent. This is what you get when they put your credit card in their payment swipe. BEWARE.

It seems that Clearwave has gone the way of the cable companies. Start you out at one monthly price, and then quietly increase it. I don’t pay much attention to this stuff, but happened to look at my cc bill this month and realized they applied another 10% increase without prior notification. Fortunately, there are alternatives in the area. (This, incidentally, takes it to 25% increase since I started in 2020; it’s a small amount of money, but if a company is charging your card monthly they should do you the courtesy of notifying you personally via text or email that they are going to increase your monthly fees prior to doing it).

Car wash is fine, but the business practices are shady! Was told “we are having a promotion today” and “today is $9.95”; however, what no one said was I was being signed up for automatic recharge and membership - no consent was ever given! VERY SHADY! Every time I go online to cancel, it says “processing”.
