I don’t have any problems with the branch at all Jared, John ,and Anthony all went above and beyond to help me because apparently the higher ups like to put blocks on your account without notice. The first block was I had to verify who I was by having a a second photo identification card like seriously and then today I wake up there’s another block on there because I tried to make a transaction now I’m being asked if I’ve traveled recently or used a VPN because of a transaction I made. Like I understand you are a small conservative type of bank but damn y’all block for any and everything when y’all can just send an alert telling me what’s going on and ask me to verify it that way. I thought that’s why I had my alerts setup on my phone to begin with. I would like to say Thank you for protecting my money so well and heavily to the point I can’t even use it sometimes ??♀️?

So I pull up to the drive thru and ask to withdraw some money. Simple thing right, not today... No today I have to provide my address birthday last four of my social... Now I don't want to call it racial profiling but a white gentleman pulls up a full minute+ after me is taken care of all while I'm still waiting... their reason why it took so long, oh we have to protect our clients... like I'm not one of em. Yeah this will be getting reported.

Previously I had a traditional experience opening up an account. When I came in and there were holds, the last bank manager assisted me through to attempt to rectify the situation. When calling due to a heap of issues pertaining to the hold a manager Julie waterstraf hung up on me when I politely requested to be connected to the fraud department. Iv never experienced this many issue causing this many problems within such a short timeframe and then to be hung up on has me in a frenzy. In history this is the second bad review Iv ever posted. I’m dealing with my bounced mortgage check, issues with other banks and a heap of issues with zero customer support or kindness.I believe I may close both business accounts with 5th 3rd if someone from customer support doesn’t contact me to work through trouble shooting. My teller Dede was lovely, polite, and helpful.

Well if you like waiting for your debit card In the mail for two weeks, than I would recommend banking with this company. I opened at account on June 16th and it’s June 29th and I’m still yet to receive my card. I was told a week which was ok at the time but now I have 3 bills late and got 3 fee s for something that should of been here a week ago. I call the branch in west Chicago for two days and got no answer. I had to call a dif branch to get answers which they tried telling me it’s 7buisness days which was never mentioned l. He just said 7 days. Like this is not starting off well one bit. At this point I would not recommend this bank. I’m sorry but what a terrible procedure to start you off with. Cost me money already in the first two weeks I haven’t even been able to use it yet.

So the website says there is a 1 percent fee for cashing a check for non fifth third customers. So I went in and was told it was 2 percent now. I was asked a bunch of questions non pertinent to my cashing a check. Wish I known I was gonna go thru such trouble to cash a check.

So, 5/3 has been my bank for, let’s say SIX YEARS for the sake of argument. Today was APPALLING. I went in with loose change, al I’m likely to do every couple months. Clearly I haven’t done so recently, so I had forgotten about my change falling on the floor and the debris therein. I was handed my change back, as the debris would break the machine. (Mind you, TWO customers arrived at the END of my visit, otherwise it was only me.) So I asked for a plate to sort through, and was almost handed a dirty one, but then, as suggested, one was given from the back.It was at this point the lady tellers decided to go into the drive thru area to chats I then have another piece of business, pertaining to a payment that was made, concerning a stop, and it became extremely difficult to find one of maybe five payments in the past week to the ONLY PAYMENT to the company. This is the exact moment I questioned wether or not I was conducting bank business improperly, because everything I asked seemed exceedingly difficult. It never had been before. Long painful encounter short, I was given a managers card when I asked for a place to recount my unnecessarily difficult transaction, however, nobody else had a card with names on them, or was willing to volunteer that information. I was offered a picture, as I took them for identification purposes, but I thankfully declined. I do however have some footage of audio containing the fact that NOBODY could identify themselves with a card. Hey !! Did I mention it was suggested to use the coin machine at JEWEL?? I should just lose 10% because MY BANK.... thanks, but no thanks. This branch is a wreck. I’ll KEEP THE CHANGE. ?☹️?

If I could give this bank less than a star I would I don't regularly go to this bank I usually go to the one on 59 and 64 but since they don't have a coin machine thingy I had to find one that did, now I go inside the bank ask to change my coins and the guy says it's in the back but it's not working while giving ME attitude. Like common? It's been like this for about two months. Horrible customer service! NEVER going there again.

I would not recommend banking here. Save yourself the headache and disrespect. I have the worst opinion of this bank out of any bank I've ever held an account with. Left with the most sour feeling like they stole from me and lied to me. I signed up under their new account if you open and maintain a balance of $500 for 60 days, they give you a $250 bonus for completing the offer. Well I did. And my personal banker Eddy as well as the unprofessional manager, Carson who had ignored serveral phone appointments with me for me to talk to her, were the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. She told me that she would not give me the 250 because eddy had indicated I was only opening the account for the $250 and was going to close my account after 60 days which IS AN ASSUMPTION and not even true...even if it were true its ur fault/responsibility and liability when you offered this promotion to me that I would possibly close the account after I completed my offer. I was stereotyped and got my $250 from the offer retracted but little do they know I could easily bank with them and throw in a few bucks. You shouldn't create the offer before evaluating your risks. Also potential opportunities- which are now nonexistent. I dont have time to escalate this myself to upper management and corporate 5th 3rd bank so whatever I dont need your money. Hopefully this review will be enough for local people to decide that 5/3rd isnt the right choice and I would suggest literally any other bank in a 3 mile radius, there are 10 of them. Easy answer, dont bank here people, bad and untrustworthy service
