It turns out Jim Henry Inc. is an 80 year old business which provides frames, certificates, and what I'll call trinklets (small plaques and trophies, medallions, pins, pendants, etc) mostly for the medical profession. I ordered a gift frame for my son's medical board certificate and being sorta in the Chicagoland neighborhood and to save $19 in shipping cost, I queried and was amicably agreed a physical pickup in lieu of shipping. After just a few days' wait for the frame prep, I also got to meet Chris McClurg, the friendly president of the company who while presenting my purchase also gave me a little tour of their office and product displays. They are located in a quaint industrial section of St. Charles and near the DuPage airport. They have customers from all over the world. I made an observation that businesses like Jim Henry have longevity by finding a solid niche and with theirs being mostly (but not exclusively) associated with the medical profession. I noticed how all of the son's celebrated milestones (diplomas, degrees, certifications, etc) came with different sized certificates and each had their own preferred frame supplier - what a racquet I thought! Anyway, this was most certainly a one time visit, but I mentioned to Chris that because he had a Yelp listing with no info nor reviews, I would oblige him with a written thank you and a little PR, and here it is!
