Every time my daughter returns home, we are off to Town House for lunch. The outdoor patio has a quaint European flair. The food is consistently good. Soups & desserts amazing! The book shop is an added bonus! We are fortunate to have this wonderful place in our community.

Thanks for supporting this local author! Check out the “local author” section where you can find my children’s book, “Always, Always, Always” among others! Townhouse is a staple for St. Charles and such a charming place to visit. You can always find something interesting to buy, but if you’re looking for something specific, just ask and they’ll order it and have it in within a couple of days! You can also order online and have it shipped direct. Buy local! And stay for breakfast or lunch at the Townhouse Cafe (the quiche is incredible!) :)

Very cute little cafe and bookstore. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated (just me), so I would advice getting there early. The bookstore has a decent selection and tons to look at, and the food was very tasty. I highly recommend checking it out.

One of the most wonderful places to dine. When I want to treat someone, I take them here. Excellent food and service, reasonable prices, ample parking and a phenomenal book store.I find almost any excuse to dine there.

Wow, this is my fairytale bookshop dreams come true. A real house (built 1853!) with real books (really!), and real coffee and food (!!!). So glad I decided to seek a local bookseller. And David (the owner) was exceptionally kind and helpful. A new fan for life!

It's the best restaurant in St. Charles in my opinion! The food is all delicious and there are some great vegetarian options. They're pretty busy sometimes but you can wander around the bookstore while you wait for a table, or you can order food to go instead.

One of the big reasons we visit St. Charles! Great bookstore, good selection of books and lots of book recommendations from booksellers. Cafe has really good food. Their salads are flavorful, good soups and special sandwiches.The one time we indulged in Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie. Excellent!

We went to shop for books at Townhouse bookstore and then we had for lunch at the lovely caffè. We were two adults and two kids and the waitress immediately attend on us. The coziness and warmth of the place worked magic on us and we started feeling like at home. We ordered tuna salad, and two tasty sandwiches, one with grilled cheese and one with caramelised apples, roasted pork and dijon mustard, both had a side of veggie chips. The service was rapid and we left within an hour. Absolutely recommend for families and small groups
