Vanessa Favia intentionally manipulated and exploited a minor child in her care and is seriously lacking in moral, ethical, and professional conduct. Prior to the child's birth, she attempted to exploit 126,000 from the child's trust fund for legal work done outside her jurisdiction while the child was still in utero. Subsequently, she represented the child's biological mother's interest, which stood in stark juxtaposition to the best interests of the child and cost an innocent child a significant portion of what should have rightfully been hers. Following that, she manipulated the Cook County Probate Court to inappropriately take custody of this child, manipulated the child's trust again (this time successfully) to pay herself, her daughter, and her mother for caring for the child. She then allowed the child to travel with and be photographed/ videotaped by production companies and newspapers attempting to exploit her story, unbeknownst to the court and against court order. She also knowingly misrepresented her position in the case, forcing the child to be in a transitory state much longer than necessary, resulting in months of unjustifiable trauma to the child. Please look elsewhere for virtuous representation, and she should be disbarred for her conduct.
