Made an appointment for a vaccine. Website said you will not be turned away regardless of insurance status. They turned me away with no hesitation despite pointing this out. What a waste of time.

We have been using the pharmacy at this Walgreens for years and watched it slowly decline. In the last several months it has become intolerable. We go to pick up an RX that they say isn't there only to call a few days later only to be told it's been there all along. They don't follow up when your prescription is ready so when you have to call, you're stuck with that long message and prompts of several minutes that have absolutely nothing to do with your call. I have most of my prescriptions thru a less expensive mail in program, even with insurance, unfortunately not all meds are included and my insurance requires Walgreens

Had invasive foot surgery 5/26. Dropped off script for pain meds at around 530, daughter went back to pick it up at around 830, came home and told me the pharmacist said the doctor filled the script out incorrectly and as it's a narcotic there's nothing they can do. Immediately called the on call and explained the situation, ridiculous amount of back and forth and my pharmacist is on the phone with the doctor. WHY LO AND BEHOLD! My script was mislaid. WHY NOT JUST OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKE???They then had the audacity to tell me that if my daughter wasn't there in 2 minutes they were closing! What kind of business does this!?I give them the credit that they stayed open until my daughter arrived, that's it. They smeared my doctors reputation, added undo stress to an already stressful situation and were overall HIGHLY unprofessional.

Pharmacy is always understaffed. Employees look burnt out, it's always a mess, there's always people waiting in the chairs for their vaccines, there's long lines in drive thru, and in store. I was told they have vaccine appointments every 15 minutes which is why other customers have to wait up to an hour to receive their vaccinations. There's only ever 1 tech that can give out the vaccines besides the pharmacist which only makes everything go slower. They're constantly doing COVID tests as well which is what backs up the drive through. There's barely ever any techs and there's always a mess of leaflets on their counters. I almost always ever only see one person filling prescriptions, I was told by a technician there that they fill over 6-800 prescriptions a day which would explain why customers are so angry that their medications aren't ready when they get there. It's very frustrating to us as customers and I feel for the workers who look like they're doing the best the can with the working conditions they're given. Every time I go there's only ever one person working both the in store window and drive thru which is 3 separate lines, doing COVID test, putting in vaccines for customers and selling prescriptions. This store / company needs to do better and help set their employees up for success, NOT failure. This environment is stressful for everyone involved and downright dangerous to the public. I only ever see one pharmacist at a time completing many tasks at once and since everything has to be reviewed by them it creates a dangerous situation if a mistake is to occur. Walgreens do better.

I have never had such a bad experience at a pharmacy. They're NOT understaffed, there was 4 techs AND a pharmacist when I was there. They just like to do things to waste people's time, and in turn wastes THEIR time, which causes so many of their issues and backups. For instance: I was trying to get a prescription filled for an upcoming surgery I was having on a Monday. I showed up Friday evening and was told by the female pharmacist DIPIKA Y PATEL that she was going to have to call my doctors office (in Rockford) because and I quote "since their office is a long distance away we have to call to verify that this prescription isn't fraudulent". I'm sorry what? I have never heard of such a thing. She then had the audacity to ask me why I needed it and what my surgery was for.... in front of MANY other customers. Absolute invasion of privacy and she didn't even attempt to bring me to a more private area before asking me this question.I also noted my surgery was Monday and it was currently Friday evening, no one was going to be in the surgeon's office until the day of my surgery. She told me she would call me once she called them, which I knew wasn't going to happen since no one was in office until monday.I went back the next morning and a completely different pharmacist told me that "sometimes it's the pharmacist's discretion to do something like this and that we need to call because the surgeon is so far away from us".Yet they are still within Illinois, licensed in Illinois, there should be absolutely no issue. My mom, a nurse, has also never heard of such a thing. So the 2nd pharmacist admits there's no actual rule or law or statute that they HAVE to check something like this. They were being difficult just to be difficult. So in the midst of being overwhelmed with the prospect of a surgery in a few days, this pharmacist went out of her way to create even more of a nightmare of stress and hassle.I requested my prescriptions be given back to me and I went down the road to CVS where I did not receive a single question about anything. Prescription filled without any hassle whatsoever.I will never shop at or fill prescriptions with Walgreens ever again after this experience. AVOID at all costs.A gentleman just before me seemed to be having just as much of a hassle and it appears, based on the reviews being left, this is an ongoing problem with this location.

Prepare to be robbed. The East St. Charles pharmacy sold my husband the generic and charged him the brand price. The price difference was substantial. When I called to complain, John the pharmacist, who would only give his first name, belligerently denied it. So the next day I printed pictures from the Internet of both the generic and the brand name, and took them to the store along with the pills sold to my husband. Forced to admit what they'd done, they then wanted to refund the money with a gift card! I said no, this was their "mistake"; they needed to put it back on the credit card. Reluctantly they did, but this required the authorization of the store manager. I'll never go to this store again. I don't think they're honest people.

Had an issue with my prescription and tried to work through it with the pharmacist but to no avail. I canceled a script for a name brand and opted for the generic instead ($396 for name brand, $150 for generic) Of course doing something like this always messes up insurance companies and any discounts they apply to the purchase. So, the insurance wouldn't apply and the solution the pharmacist had, was for me to pay cash - $350 for the generic. I get this script every month so I know the cost. All the pharmacist had to do was contact the insurance company to get it pushed through but didn't offer that as an option nor even tried to help further. I've done this swap in the past with other Walgreens and yes, it takes time but in the end I walk happy. I will drive to the other side of town to that Walgreens before I go back to this store.

Stop! Do not use this Pharmacy. They are consistently unorganized and in the weeds no matter when you go. This evening I waited 1 hour for them to serve 4 cars in their drive thru. When it was finally my turn (the pharmacist confirmed our order would be ready for pick up)...3 hours later they were still running around trying to put together our order that they claimed wasn't ready and would text me when ready. Really? The Jewel and Mariano's Pharmacy are much more organized and have better prices #goodrx

Updated review I was able to finally get my issue at this location sorted out but the lengths in which I had to go and the people that helped were not the most polite people but I want to commend Elvia for trying to turn around the situation with that in mind I'm aware a full refund was finally given but until this location can have staff that give more care to there customers and have more staff like Elvia there I cannot see myself returning anytime soon.

Print quality is top notch! Also way cheaper than kinkos with all the coupons you can use. My only gripe is the website does not have basic tools like rulers for adding your photos to a project. You pretty much have to account for the size of the print when you create your print. Other than that awesome printing
