I have had several of my cars serviced at Aljets. I've been a customer for over 20 years. They are very good at what they do. Tim has repaired my old Challenger many times. He knows his Mopars very well and is a great mechanic !

While returning to ********* from an early winter camping vacation in the southwest, our vehicle broke down on I-55 outside ******** late in the afternoon. We called the agricultural equipment dealer we could see in the distance, who highly recommended Aljets Automotive. We called Aljets and spoke with ***, who was sympathetic to our situation and told us if we could get to the shop they would do their best to get us back on the road. He gave us the name and number of a towing service and took our vehicle information to begin to determine the problem. While we contacted the towing service and secured the short tow for our truck and trailer to Aljets location, *** searched his sources for the anticipated repair parts nearby and made arrangements to have them delivered to the shop. The parts were waiting there when we arrived. Once he had the truck on site *** confirmed the right parts had been secured and *** jumped on the project, confirmed **** diagnosis from our phone conversation, and worked after-hours to replace the failed part. Unfortunately, the replacement part, while functional, had issues, was not up to Jims standards, and he was reluctant to send us off into the winter night with that part. He offered to drop us off at a nearby restaurant for some dinner, and ordered additional replacement parts for delivery first thing in the morning. In the morning *** installed the replacement parts, troubleshooted some error codes, and got us back on the road. Very impressive, all the way around!! Thanks, guys!!

This shop is awesome! I was traveling nearby and when my check engine light came on they were relentless is finding the error, clearing the codes, and making sure it was safe for me to continue home. They are very friendly and fun. Thanks guys!

Charged me 100.00 over agreed quoted price. When I asked why, it was because they kept truck overnight to see if it started up the next morning with new battery and they had to look up the recalls on it. They simply pulled the recalls and did not fix any of them. Researching to see if they could fix any of them should not have been a charge.. nor should I have been charged 100 over the agreed amount.

Great shop and folks.Was traveling to Bellville Illinois for an antique show and limped in with full size Ford Van pulling a trailer with a heater core hose leaking antifreeze. Barry, Jim and the rest of the crew worked me in and "manufactured" the hose that I needed to repair said leak. Jim even offered to run me into town to the local restaurant if I was hungry.Couldn't be happier with the service, speed and professionalism of the entire crew.Thank you for your amazing customer service.

We broke down on the way to our vacation destination called several local auto places all were horrible but not Als! they were compassionate and understood we were stranded!!! he gave tow recommendations and got our truck to the shop. it was a nightmare getting to and from our vacation destination. he ordered what was needed for the truck had someone work on it and we got our truck back little after finishing our trip. i am grateful we went with Aljets automotive. they were there for us and got the job done. i would highly recommend them.Service: Transmission repair

I have been taking my cars to the Staunton shop for over 20 years now. They have always given clear estimates, done good quality work, and have never tried to sell me additional work I didn't really need. When they have found something unexpected I have always gotten a call to authorize the work along with an accurate estimate. The only negative thing I can say is sometimes they are booked up for 2 weeks or more, which reflects on the volume of return customers they have. Based on my personal experiences I would highly recommend Aljets.
