Went to get my brakes checked because my usual mechanic was unavailable. They told me I needed not just pads and rotors but Calibers too. My mechanic told me that’s a classic trick they use to charge more and he was right. I didn’t need them at all. I’m glad I didn’t go thru with it. Do yourself a favor and find a trusted mechanic.

My oil change service, which I scheduled online, was great! I waited in the roomy waiting area while my vehicle was being serviced. They added air to my tires, as the dashboard tire pressure light was on when I arrived, but off when I left.
The price of the oil change service was reasonable.
The staff were friendly as usual. I highly recommend Scott's U-Save Tires in Steger, IL. They aren't slick, if you know what I mean. That alone gives me a since of security that they appreciate and respect their customers. You should definitely consider them when your vehicle needs servicing.

The best experience in purchasing tires. The customer service was great. Friendly reception. Complete explanation of our options from economical to best quality so choice was ours. I appreciated that. I didn't feel pressured to buy. Then our vehicle was serviced in a timely manner and our check out was friendly and quick. I totally recommend Scott's for tire service.

All the people at Scott's U-Save have been super friendly and really nice to my parents for years. When my dad passed away a couple of years ago I began taking care of my mom's car, and unfortunately I've had nothing but poor experiences at the Crete store:
1. Lug nuts tightened to over 300 lb/feet. Couldn't get them off with a 4-ft breaker bar. Obviously they are not torquing lug nuts to spec.
2. Took car in for a shake in the steering wheel they told me it was a bent wheel. $500 later the problem still existed and had to bring the car back again.
3. When I swapped summer to winter tires technician asked me if I wanted them to dispose of my $1,500 Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires. I asked why are they badly worn and he brought them out and they looked fine. I drove the entire 2025 spring summer fall on them and the tread is still above the wear bar.
4. Summer tires were not mounted rotationally correct and I had to bring the car back to have that fixed.
5. I just swapped to winter wheels/tires and found that two of those were also not mounted rotationally correct. So now another visit to have the fixed.
Nice people, but I can't keep going there. I hope they fix their issues.

I always appreciate the customer service I get at Scott’s. I just had a dealing with Discount tire this last round due to an unintended situation I stumbled into. It was a nightmare! I Still ended up cancelling and right back at Scott’s. It was remedied on the spot. My new tires were installed the next morning at the appointment time scheduled. Not many hours or days later. I won’t make the same mistake again. Scott’s customer service is incredible and their appreciation for my Money and more importantly minimizing my down time has always has been a priority.
