This review is directed to the the Kroger corporation and not the store management. The Sterling Illinois Kroger store desperately needs to be updated to 2024 standards! It needs to have two entrances as it only has one tiny entrance/exit and this seems like a fire hazard! It is super dingy /dated. The exterior Kroger sign has had lights burned out for a long time. Kroger corporation should do better by the Sterling Illinois location. Thank you.

Usually always busy. Able to still get out quickly with self express. Get my bottled water there. Workers to help, able to put in cart and take to car

Was in town on a job working, thought I'd hit Kroger and grab some essentials and lunch for the guys. Got to checkout and machine wouldn't let me bypass pin and use card as credit. I've never had this problem. I've shopped there before. Seriously upset, I wasted my time doing my shopping and then had to run all the way over to Walmart to get what I already had. Other times the place is so packed with people everywhere and it's an older store. Will never be going back there I'll go to county market if I'm in sterling or Walmart if I have to like I did today as I had to get pet items that the other store didn't carry. Very very upsetting. I've never had to have my pin for my card. I have a medical reason why I can't remember it and they couldn't take my money.
