This guy has had my Dads car for five years! My mother wanted to have the restoration done for his 70th birthday obviously that didn’t happen! Unfortunately my mother ended up passing the following year from an rare disease. Almost to the month a year after Ben picked it up. We gave him the go ahead to keep working on it in July of 2020 and here we are in October of 23 and it still just a painted shell. isn’t even a rolling chassis. No engine mounted, nothing! It probably wouldn’t be so bad if he was making progress but nothing new is done when we go check on it! My mom and dad pretty much financed his business through Covid and every other excuse he could come up with. We’re on the 3rd time he’s told us “It should be ready by driving season!” My dad will be 74 in February and it would be nice to have his car back and finished!! Pics are from when it was picked up in Nov of 2018 and about as far as Ben has gotten in 5 years!! Pure disheartening Disappointment!!P.s. I was even blocked from his Facebook account for questioning his performance! Truth hurts I guess…

The owner Ben Linton charged me for things that were not completed. I kept paying him more money as he held my wifes truck hostage for 3 months. I paid for a window and ceramic coating and new ford emblems which were never delivered. Over $3,000 paid just for those. Not to mention bubbles in the window tint that werent even tinted to 5% as they were supposed to be. Also bubbles in the brand new and very expensive paint job. I was also charged for parts that i provided. Hes responded to messages that he will take care of it and fix whatever is wrong but how could we trust him with the truck again after this fraud. He also promised to send detailed invoices and a refund which has never showed up. I gave him close to $40,000 to work on this truck and got screwed over personally by the owner. My wife trusted him and considered him a friend. Id sure hate to see how he treats customers that he doesnt know.

I think you would be wrong to trust this person with your vehicle. He lost our door panels, he said no but how do you have the door handles, window and arm rest on floor, how they get there without door panels. There were alot of unanswered questions. Always try to have a answer for you, but didn't always work. There was always money for tis and that, but sometimes it didn't make sense how much it was. So be very careful.

A place you can take your truck or car to and tell Ben what you want. Then if he has a question he’ll call and talk to you before he going’s on with the job.plus his team does the best job he has my 1953 gmc and I can’t wait to get it out for the cars and truck shows this summer.Thanks Ben - Dave-Chris.

We brought our '67 GTO to Vintage Mechanical Works several years ago for work on our air conditioning. When we got the car back the air conditioning was still not operating and looked like some kid restored it. We have our car at a different restoration place right now and Vintage was supposed to replace the wiring loom in the dash that we had purchased and given to Vintage. We are now being told that the wiring loom in our car is the original so that means Vintage Mechanical Works stole our new wiring loom we gave him and never replaced it. I would NEVER go to this place or recommend it. They are a bunch of shysters!
