“The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Downers Grove, Illinois is a family-oriented fraternity that supports Mooseheart, a home for children who have lost one or both parents. The lodge is conveniently located a few steps from the Downers Grove train station, making it easy to get to from downtown Chicago.The lodge has a lively "living quarters" with a bar, pool table, shuffleboard, and live music. There is also a banquet area upstairs, where they serve an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Fridays in the fall through the spring.In addition to the fish fry, the lodge also hosts a variety of other events throughout the year, such as bingo nights, karaoke nights, and holiday parties. There are also many activities available at the lodge, such as the Moose Riders motorcycle club, the rod and gun club, the Women of the Moose and more.The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge is a great place to meet new people, make friends, and have fun. It is also a great way to support a good cause. “I have been working with Amrit and Faith for roughly a month or two now and have only positive things to say about both! I worked with a therapist years ago and it was such a terrible experience that I never thought I would try it again. After getting to my lowest mental health point, I knew it was time to reach out for help and so I did but was very nervous due to my previous experience. Both Amrit and Faith have made me feel hopeful, heard, and treated me with nothing but kindness, respect, and care. I finally feel I am on track to my best self and I owe them so much credit. They are giving me the tools I need to get through this and to continue on a good path. The clinic was also understanding of my recent back surgery and was able to accommodate me with having tele visits with both! I would HIGHLY recommend them.”

“My 1st. time taken care of me, and only me. I needed help with a bill, my gas. I worked hard all my youthful day and my adult life, taken care of others, mother, siblings, husband, then kids. Don't mention the dogs. Grandma, and a house. All gone now including my husband, so I had to learn to budget my bills, money, and time. 'Ceda to the rescue.' They took care of and continue to keep my bills low so I can live without stress over this months as well as next months bills. I can breathe, and learning how to sleep, 'at easy souldier', 'relax,' 'rest well.' I was told by friends and family. It's going to be a good live.”
“Great facility and dedicated staff. They helped me adopt out three feral kittens. Each kitten had health issues and CARE paid all the vet bills. Everyone was incredibly supportive.”
“The Buddy Foundation is so wonderful! I volunteer there and everyone who is there is a volunteer. The only people that get paid are the veterinarians. They put all their resources into saving dogs and cats from all over they spare no expense to save an animal’s life. The people there are so dedicated.”
“Feral Fixers does such a great service for the DuPage County community. They help spay and neuter as many cats as they can. And they will put up kittens and as many adoptable cats as possible.

They are also looking for volunteers if you have time to spare.”
“My Dad served honorably in WWII. A member of "the greatest generation" he was a great man and beloved by many, not only his family but community also.I don't know how I could have gotten through his funeral day without the respect and acknowledgment that came from beyond our family's mourning. The armed servicemen in uniform that saluted his flag draped casket as he was carried past them to his final resting place and their beautiful folding of the flag and presenting it to my Mom was so uniting. It really made one feel that our Country cared for its Servicemen even so many decades later. But most of all I thank Tom Day and his Bugles Across America. The volunteer who came and performed Taps was an excellent musician. That day we were especially blessed as the funeral home had also arranged for the Servicemen I mentioned and they too by chance, planned to play Taps. Our family was so so touched and surprised when Taps was played echo style by the two buglers. That beautiful and well deserved tribute to my father meant the world to my Mom and our family and we speak of it often. Bugles Across America is a wonderful organization with wonderful volunteers that at a very short notice give comfort and inspiration at a time most needed. I support them whole-heartedly.”

“Great place to start gymnastics. We have younger children that started gymnastics with TriStar in spring and by end of summer they are able to do many new things like cart wheels, flips and climbing ropes and other skills on equipment with assistance. I'm not looking to make my children competitive gymnasts but give them opportunities to try something and get some skills. I think the staff here do an excellent job and connect really well with the kids.Location is an old former warehouse so it is a bit remote and sketchy, building is dusty sometimes cold or hot because it is a huge space.”

“Casa hosted my aunt's 90th birthday party for around 100 people. They were so accomodating, and made my aunt feel like a princess - tiara and all. The space was very homey, and Casa arranged the catering, photographers, and musician. My family has been going to events at their beautiful grounds for at least 60 years. There always seems to be some type of festive event going on. It is a hidden gem.”
