Had a reservation that was paid fully through Hotwire. This was a long standing reservation for a minivan. When I arrived at the location there was a sign on the door saying they were temporarily closed. I had even received a confirmation email. No other branch could help, and the customer service was a joke. Last minute, a van through another company was impossible. This experience almost ruined a vacation, planned a year in advance. I will never use them again.

This location is closed permanently. Be careful, because they are still happy to let you reserve and fully pay for rentals online only to discover that the office is closed with a paper on the door. When you call for support they are unwilling to help you relocate or honor your reservation elsewhere. Go to the Enterprise across the street for much better service.

Very unprofessional. Did not pick up my rental from the repair shop on time and delayed my reimbursement fee . Called staff for a receipt of my transaction and representative was not understanding of my situation and didn’t end call professionally . Actually hung up in my face . Will not rent from them again . Also , the rental smelled like cigarettes so I had to buy my own personal air fresher to cope with the few days that I rented for .

Scheduled to pick up a car Saturday at 10:30. They called to say that they didn't have a car for me and would call when one is available, but they close at noon. I talked to them 2 times to get updates because they were closing soon and I needed the car. The frustrating part was I needed to call numerous times because they wouldn't answer the phone. When I was at the location the phone would ring and the employee would silence the phone and not answer it...but when his personal phone rang he took that call.....

I made a reservation last Thursday to pick up a car today at 9am. They called me at 8:15am to tell me there aren’t any cars available and that there would be some at noon. It is now nearly 6pm and they still don’t have any vehicles. I asked Eddie if he could call another location to check if they had any vehicles available and he refused, which is the least they could have done for misleading and inconveniencing me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This rental place and staff cant get any worse. Booked a reservation the day before for an 8 AM pick up. 10 min before pick up i received a call from Hertz stating he didn’t have the truck ready and he would place me on a waiting list. No apologies no alternatives or solution. Informed him I needed the car by 9 AM I couldn’t just be placed on a waiting list I needed the truck. He just stated again it wasn’t ready and he would call before 9 AM. The call if I can describe it in any way was as if that was not his job and I was basically interrupting his daily life how dare I try to rent a car from this place. Went to Enterprise down a couple blocks and was able to rent a car in less than 30 mins. Passed by Hertz where the worker was eating his breakfast in the desk. Walked in and informed him I rented from another place to cancel and take me off the waiting list. One week later, surprise. I was charged for the rental and had to call customer service to explain this bad experience so they can remove the charges. Do not rent from this place. Go to Enterprise couple blocks down.

Rented a 7 passenger vehicle for a week- couldn’t have gone better. Check in was a little long with a few bumps along the way but afterwards everything went smoothly. Pro tip- try to book your rental a week or 2 in advance so they are able to accommodate your car selection.

They sent me a receipt a week after o drop off the car, with extra costs like Gas and taxes. In the receipt, an amount of miles that I never used. When I was there, I asked the boy to check everything. Tank was full, car clean and everything was fine for me, I asked him for a receipt, he told me that I would get an email. I received that email today. With an extra $20.

Paige was a saint. My car was stolen and the insurance company suggested enterprise which was an absolute nightmare. Long story short the service was terrible and made a very stressful situation much more stressful than it needed to be. My husband called around to other rental car companies and was able to talk with Paige at the Hertz in Stone Park. She was not only very empathetic of my whole situation but made sure I received a vehicle with all wheel drive and would be safe for the upcoming "Chicago Storm." The service was phenomenal and was very appreciative of her help after a very emotional and overwhelming day already!

Just echoing what's already been written. I was given a vehicle that was unsafe to drive. The staff charged me extra fees for gas and an extra day that I didn't use the car which resulted in me being charged tolls. What i didn't realize is that Hertz is being sued for fraud and that the issues I'm experiencing are normal for Hertz. I've been through so much. Don't use Hertz! Try somewhere else. Definitely don't go here. I had to go here because of insurance.

This place is lousy. The service on the phone was lousy, the manager seems bothered when I asked if I could rent anything similar to my full size luxury car. They wanted to give me a tiny little spark just to get me out the door. When I get there in person the manager was the only one there and was on his phone with earbuds inside BOTH ears the whole time I’m speaking to him. Very irritating because I constantly had to repeat myself. He was not attentive at all and seemed very annoyed the entire time I was there. I finally get a car and the whole outside was dirty especially the windshield that seemed to have sticky tree sap and they didn’t bother to get it off. The interior was fairly clean except for a couple dog hairs. I will be returning the car soon and I hope they don’t charge me for returning the car with its sticky windshield that was in there already when I started the rental. It’s sad, almost all the Hertz near me are notorious for lousy service.
