I am Avis preferred plus. This review is specifically for the location not AVIS as a whole. Kenny is absolutely amazing, he literally watches out for his customers at an individual level. Yes there have been times I wasnt satisfied with the Avis vehicle experience, however the staff service compensated for it.I have now been renting from this location for quite a while, and have been a AVIS only customers for 3 years now. Comparing this to others, there have been times where I landed in a city and that airport AVIS location had no cars and only found something that had many issues. Seen a lot.Kenny makes it work! Thats it!

It's one year since I have been renting continuously from Avis in Streamwood. Kenny is the point man there and he is awesome. During my one year with this location, Kenny has always responded immediately to all my concerns. On occasions when I visited the location and Kenny was not there, I would check back at a later time or date when he is available. I would always recommend this location to friends and family, and I would tell them to ask for Kenny. Keep it up Kenny!!

This place is terrible. Do not rent from them at all costs. Watch when they check you in because it could be 40 minutes before you actually get car and then when you return it they charge you another day for something they sneaked in the contract. Trust all the bad reviews. Yes , when you have a problem, they are rude and say just call customer service. The place is disgusting as this should have been a big red flag. Never to go back again. Should be zero stars.....

I tried to make a reservation from this place for ride sharing. Was a complete hassle. On the way to Avis my Uber driver actually knew the agent and told me he was dealing with fraudulent charges from a previous experience. Do not rent here

I am happy with staff because Kenny he is a good guy who tries to always help, but the most important is that when ever you book a car even well advance you will always get a call from the location on the day of pick up that they don't have a car. this is not first time it has been 5 times with me, even when you email social line email address they will give you reason that booking was done in 48 hours so cant arrange a car , again did the booking 72 hours before now they don't have a answer, i know i will get a reply from this review just a sorry and email to the social line that it but they will never ever try to get a car just excuses excuses and only excuses

If you are in a desperate financial situation, I do not recommend renting at avis for rideshare. There is other car rental companies that charge half the price. I got a car here from Kenny. Good guy, first time, no issues. Second time, he let me use a car with the registration sticker almost expiring and gave me a heads up. When I tried getting the sticker I was told I could keep the car without charge for the days I was not allowed to work on the rideshare. I was not able to work for four days, the most busiest days which was very inconvenient and ruined my plans. I knew I could not keep up with the weekly payment so I tried returning the car. At this point I was told Kenny was out of the country by two different employees . One employee told me she would work with me and gave me a few days to come up with the payment. I even did a following call to make sure I was still in good standing. After a few days I was never able to get a hold of anyone to ask which day/time I was able return the car and or know when I was going to get charged. Soon enough, Kenny calls me for a payment. I was under the impression I was all caught up. He tried telling me he would give me money out of his pocket and for me to get a hold of half of the payment so I could rent for another week and catch up with the week. For this same reason I tried returning the car and close my account when the registration sticker was taking too long to arrive but never got an answer. Also you get persuaded to get insurance, when you say no they still check you out with insurance because thats what they recommend. If you have bills every week and not alot of work somedays on the rideshare. You are stuck with a ridiculous price.

I have booked my car for uber rent program before going there i have confirmed with avis customer care that do they accept debit card for uber rental program they told me yes and when i went to this place they told that they need only credit card to rent a car for uber, i have came all the way from 20 miles and i have to waste $65 for cab if they cant give uber rental car on debit card then why customer care told me they do give car on rent on debit card without deposit, yes they just give rental cars on debit card for ubers only.

I rented a vehicle from the Barrington location 6 months ago and have been using it for rideshare work since then. Surprisingly Kenny at Avis made it easy for me to do. There was no hassle and he explained the process better than the rideshare company did. This allowed me to work and save money while waiting to have a medical procedure. My experience was great. I will definitely return to this location for future rentals. Thank you Kenny!—Deana T
