“My 2014 Hyundai Azera was in need of a hand car wash. The last wash was before the Pandemic. I searched Google for hand car wash businesses in the area. Gippie's was very close. I drove over and got an estimate, $40 dollars. A bit high. I gave the OK. While I was waiting. I read reviews of car wash businesses in the area. Gippie's was in the top 10! Their rating was confirmed when I got my car! It was detailed for just $40 dollars! The floor mates you could eat on! Show Room quality! I once paid $200 dollars for what I got for $40 dollars! “Awesome experience! A routine service was a pleasure. They had me in and out in no time and the manager Irene was very nice and welcoming. I'll definitely be going back!”
“This is my go-to car wash, and I pass many others as I come to this one on Orchard. They have a prewash brush cart available, and they have microfiber cloths for drying. Vacuums work well. Price is fair (range of levels of service is available), and the team there works well together. This is an automatic carwash, and it give me the opportunity to do some detailing of my own as I vac and wipe down the door jambs and exposed areas. Depending on the shape of the car, some small parts (usually the flat surface on the back gate) are missed. I hit those spots while wiping down surfaces.”

“Decent car wash, can be very slow switching chemicals in the manual wash which burns through your time a bit though. Also, would be nice to fix the potholes and horrible road surface at the exit to the bays so your not driving through potholes and puddles on the way out.Air dryer is nice for helping get water out of the vehicles nooks and crannys, but not really powerful enough to effectively dry your vehicle.2023 Update. Road surface at the exit from the manual wash bays has fallen apart even more. Like trying to navigate around craters while exiting now.”

“Friday July 11, 2025, had my 2023 corvette convertible hand washed at Tower Car Wash in Batavia, IL. I have never taken it to a car wash before, but I have an injured arm, so I was desperate to get it hand washed and properly wiped off when I was unable to do it myself. I needed to get it thoroughly washed because I was showing it in an annual car show the next day. It took an about an hour for them to wash and wipe it dry. I looked it over immediately after they were done and was very pleased with the job they did. When I showed it the next day, I won the “Best 1974 to 2025 Corvette” award. In all honesty, my car didn’t win the award because they washed it, but their thorough cleaning allowed me to show it well and therefore enabled the award win. I appreciate the job they did and recommend them for a hand car wash, if you want such a service.”

“Stopped by to power wash my Harley. First thing I noticed was that 2 of the 4 stalls had damaged drain grates. Shouldn't matter if you are washing a car but be aware if you are washing your motorcycle! Sprayer system was a little tricky to figure out so I just started in and tried different settings during the session. Ran the sprayer until time ran out (10 minutes). Then ran again for about 5 minutes and shut the sprayer off. Display then said session was over. Was charged $10 for the first 10 minutes and charged $10 for the 2nd session (5 minutes). Sprayer worked fine for my purposes. I'd use again... but will try some other self service wash locations first to compare.”

Apparently it continues to register minutes until you punch start which resulted in me being charged $9 for which I didn't realize until I saw debit charges. I may have used about 4 mins.”
