Great shop, amazing selection and fair pricing.. always loved shooting the breeze with Mike, but I'd rather drink battery acid than deal with Penny... just a miserable human being. Customer service matters.

I was it there today and was very blown away by the way I was treated and there very poor selection (pretty sure Walmart has a better selection) I went in looking for a IWB holster and was told that I would end up giving myself a sex change operation!! For a gun shop ran by COPS! That they would understand what trigger discipline is!! Very unprofessional and inappropriate! There prices are very expensive on what little firearms they do have. Also if u aren't a cop they treat you like you don't have any idea what you're talking about and are very rude when you correct them on the false information they give you!! 10/10 wouldn't recommend

I was in search of EMS pants. I have difficulty finding ones that fit, so I cannot order online.I've been in this store years ago and figured I would see if they carry EMS pants in-house.I emailed through their website and within a couple hours, I received an email from Penny stating yes they do have EMS pants in stock and verified their hours. Not long after that, I received another email from Mike!I went in on Saturday 18 June and was met by Katie. She was extremely helpful in assisting me with the right sizes. While I was trying a pair on, she was looking for more in different styles.Found 2 pair that day!Friendly, great prices. Definitely recommended!

Way overpriced!!Was looking at a Canik combat elite and they’re wanting $760! MSRP is $749 straight from Canik’s website. 99% of the time local shops sell firearms below MSRP.RSM in Belvedere has it on stock for $699 and Flashpoint in Roscoe for $670. If you’re willing to drive to Iowa, BHA sells it’s for under $600!l and $720 comes with a Vortex red dot 3 MOA!!I wish they price-match even within a 50mi radius. No wonder people resort to buying online or end up going other shops after visiting the store (based from the reviews below).Good shop with helpful people though.

Double there FFL transfer fee to $40.... When I asked why did they double the transfer fee from $20 to $40 they said, too many people were coming in and looking at their guns and buying them online from different companies.....

The owner and Kaiti are the nicest, most helpful people you’ll ever meet. I walk in the store and they greet me by name, and will even come over and open the door for me if she sees me coming since I walk with a cane after surgery. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. They always have nice guns to choose from and I use them for my FFL if I buy on Gunbroker. Best shop around hands down, I don’t go anywhere else now.

I'm a little disappointed in the fact that I've been put on hold of obtaining my purchased firearm Monday, MLK day. Last time I checked if these gun background checks exceed 3 full business days, the transaction of firearms can move forward. This is according to the various articles and NCIS website. It wouldn't matter if I wasn't leaving town, but I am and my wife will be unprotected while away for work. So this may prove beneficial for others in my predicament. Thank you.

Starting my post by saying that I am not usually so vocal about my opinions, but I feel as if this needs to be addressed. I will not bring my business back to COPS, Inc, nor will I recommend this business to anyone else. I was looking to buy a firearm for hunting and training purposes and it was recommended that I go to this business from someone who has had good experiences with them. I purchased from COPS on February 24th, 2020 through their online store. I received confirmation for pickup within the standard amount of time. We went to pick up and had a fine time, no issues. The firearm started experiencing problems within the first few times I used it, training once per month, I noticed the first problem in May. I decided to return the firearm to be fixed under the manufacturer's warranty and dropped it back off to COPS on August 7th, which was a Friday. With Covid in full effect, we were warned that turnaround time would likely be a few more weeks than normal. I understood and we left with a firm "We will send this out first thing Monday morning." Everything seemed to go well, we dealt directly with Mike, he received the gun from us at that time. Problems with COPS directly did not begin until a few weeks later when calling to check back about the status of repair on the gun. At this point, we were directed to the in-store gunsmith, Jeremiah. He said he had not heard from the manufacturer, but would check in with them and we would hear back when he had an update. A week later and we still had not heard anything back from him. Calling back multiple times per month, it was always "we have not heard anything from the manufacturer, let me get back to you." Until January 5th, when we called to speak with Jeremiah again and the phone was answered by Mike due to it being before store hours. Mike said he would have Jeremiah call us back, in which he did, but what he said was unbelievable. He told us that the firearm was never sent out, "it was waiting on a shipping label and has been in back since dropoff." The offer that they gave us is to have this sent out "ASAP" to be fixed or replaced, in standard time, due to this gun now being recalled for a known issue that was what we were experiencing. There was no offer to expedite, nor any other compensation for our now-5-month-old-problem that had been pushed aside without any answers and told that our gun had been sent out when we dropped it off in August. When we called to check up with Mike a few days later, Mike was very adamant that Jeremiah was a completely separate business and it was no fault of COPS directly. That Mike was doing everything in his power to fix our problem. Shifting blame onto someone who looks and acts like an employee, who answers phones and questions directly coorelating to COPS, but isn't affiliated apparently. Within that phone call, we told Mike that with how long this process had already gone on, that if we could not get our gun back within a few weeks, that we would be returning for a refund. In which, Mike said "don't threaten me and treat me like an a******* I dont take kindly to that." Today I received an update call from Mike telling me that the manufacturer had received our gun and it would be 4-6 weeks for return. I told him that I would like to start the return process to purchase another gun and he interrupted saying "that isnt possible, we have a sign saying all sales are final," which has never been brought up before. So when my husband called back Mike proceeded to tell him that there's no possibility of expediting our order with the manufacturer and we would have to wait like everyone else. After a very heated phone call, Mike told my husband to "get his head out of his a**** and when my husband told him that after we received our gun back we would not be returning to COPS with our business, Mike replied "Good, I dont need the headache." Im appalled by the lack of customer service and the blatant disrespect and disregard for the situatio

Just had the best first experience with buying a firearm, and I plan on buying more from them in the future, if you are new to firearms or just need a solid store to shop at this is the place to go, very friendly staff who are willing to help with any questions you have and are very patient.
