“This is a great space for a private event! My cousin had her bridal shower here and it was very spacious, clean, and overall was a great option for this type of event. They had music playing through speakers in the room, tables set up with food, multiple tables in the middle of the room for seating, a little area for games on the side, and a photo back drop set up in the back. Obviously my cousin set all of this up, but it gives you an idea of how big the space is! We went to The Forge of Sycamore beforehand which was right around the corner for a quick drink.”

“I had a procedure scheduled at Kishwaukee Hospital/Northwestern Medicine on 2/13/26. The nurse called me a week prior to the procedure to give me instructions. Because I was going to be put under anesthesia, I was asked who my driver was. I told her I did not have a driver and that I was going to take an Uber. They do not allow Uber. She recommended I call Trans Vac. She gave me their phone #.
I called Trans Vac and spoke with Sheila. She was very kind and informative. She arranged for my pick up ride on the day of my procedure and gave me all the necessary information.
I was worried I would not have this procedure due to not having a driver. What a blessing Sheila was for taking care of my need for transportation.
Both pick up and drop off went very smoothly. Both drivers were very nice.
I am very grateful for this service. Thank you!”
“I went to Opportunity House, Inc. for my sister's annual planning meeting. Opportunity House staff are very well informed about the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. My sister and I are very pleased with the services she receives. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The entire building is very clean and well-staffed.
After the staffing, my sister showed me around to the new areas of the building-the production areas, the new break room, the new gym, new classrooms, and new offices. My sister is very proud to be able to continue to work part-time, go to her classrooms where she enjoys volunteering and the choices available to her. At her small-group home she enjoys having her own room and having the key to her room.”
