At 4:25 pm Wed. March 19th. I picked up two items. Oranges and coffee creamer. I noticed the cashier was watching me when I checked out through the camera screen pointing at my face as if I was going to steal. I even think she shut down two self check outs so I'd be forced to use one closer to her.
This is saddening because I work right down the street and I always wear my work shirt when shopping there. So its obvious where to find me. To be treated so suspiciously is disgusting to me. I would never steal! I have no reason to. I noticed after I paid and was heading towards the exit the lanes light turned green.
This to me is passive aggressive. If you are in fear of theft why not leave the lanes closed all the time. To shut them down anytime someone you dont like walks through the store is discriminatory. Clearly she just hits a switch by the main register. I feel bad for others she chooses to discriminate against because this was very obvious.
I normally try to make eye contact with the staff to be kind and say hello. I am that type of person. I understand if you are busy and cannot. But It seemed to me she avoided becoming familiar with me on purpose. Not because she was busy. This treatment is totally unnecessary. I have never been treated like that at this store.

Considering they run these stores with a tiny crew, they do a great job here. Huge selection, tons of products, insane amounts of traffic sometimes. The cashiers always amaze me with how they manage the demanding and entitled people, sometimes several at a time, having issues with the self checkout, all while continuing to ring up other customers.
Each time I’ve interacted with employees here, though they are always working hard and busy, they’ve been friendly and very helpful.
I stop here once every other week or so. Good store, good staff.
