Offered me 550 dollars and I sold for 4000 dollars in first call on Craig’s list. In winter had it sold for 5000 and did not sell, but we needed bigger vehicle. Still looking.

This was my first visit to CarMax. Went to get my car appraised for possible sale. Personnel were efficient and while I wasn't happy with their offer, they handle the process professionally and efficiently.

I had the a terrible car shopping experience, they kept spamming my phone about setting up an appointment, I set one up and went there, I was greeted by an associate name Edward, he told me that he will walk me thru shopping for a new ride, he barely asked any questions or said anything helpful, I basically did most of the work for him, he just sat there looking bored and uninterested like he didn’t want to be there, when I said that I don’t want to buy a car today, he got pissed and said “oh you are here for what then?” I’m sorry I need to look and compare before I make an important purchase like a car, after that I got the message loud and clear to leave as he was done talking and helping me with my car shopping journey and proceeded to rush me to leave, I have purchased a vehicle before from carmax and my previous experience was much better than this one, anyways there are plenty of car dealers and sellers around, I don’t need to go there anymore and waste your valuable time, car guru is available and free and has much more options then your little lot

DO NOT BUY HERE!! I had an appointment today that was confirmed by a CarMax Customer Service rep. I arrived at the CarMax Tinley Park location, and was told by Susan, Sales Manager, that I could not use the 24-hour test drive for the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. She actually asked me why I wanted to test drive the vehicle. I explained to Susan that I was interested in a different Mercedes Model, and I wanted to test drive the vehicle before I make my final decision. This was a terrible experience as I don't live close to the facility. Susan was not empathic and left me sitting in the lobby for over 30 minutes. I left the facility. I went to a Range Rover dealership and purchased a Velar, which was one of my choices along with the Mercedes Coupe. Be careful how you treat people, Susan. Lost sale. P.S. The Dealership was much cheaper. Do your research consumers...

First time buying a car, was connected with the sales consultant Emily and she made the whole process easy, and had a great sense of humor too. We were already sure of the car we wanted because we researched well and the whole process would have been less than an hour if only our insurance company worked as well as carmax! Thank you Emily and the carmax team who made this happen, so happy to have a Buick again.

My daughter and I went to the Carmax in Tinley Park. We had a great experience. The car was ready to be test driven. The process was smooth as can be expected. I made sure that my daughter got the Max Care Plan as well.

The process was ok. I was originally given the original offer amount and signed papers for the original offer that were final. But then was called back up to say that the service department found an issue which lowered the amount by $1,000, they didn't tell me the issue. I was taken aback since I had already signed the sale papers, title and the odometer reading which I was told made the sale final. I did go with the new offer but am very disappointed with the outcome. If they would had lowered the offer when they were examining the truck or when I walked in it wouldn't have been so bad, but to do it after I signed all the papers was unnerving.

Incredibly easy online and in-person experience. Explained everything in detail, kind, even replaced the battery of the car. Entire ordeal took less than 2 hours.
