If you are looking for a dreamy LGBTQ+ friendly wedding venue that will do everything in their power to make your wedding absolutely perfect (including having your dog involved!), look no further than Camp Aramoni. My wife and I had our wedding here in October 2023 and had a truly magical experience. Here are our top 3 reasons to rave about Camp Aramoni as a wedding/event venue (in no particular order).1) It is a beautifully restored historic venue surrounded by a natural prairie with plenty of spots for gorgeous photos, some of ours shared here.2) Andrea Mason, the event manager, is a true partner in your wedding planning. She is super responsive via email, gets as much information as possible about your vision for your wedding, meets with you multiple times before your wedding to ensure you’re on the same page, and will pull out all the stops the day of your wedding to make sure it’s the perfect day. The assistant event manager Gretchen and the rest of the staff is equally incredible - you will feel so cared for and celebrated by every person there.3) The food is AMAZING. As some other reviews have said, don’t even bother with external catering. Chef Carmen is outstanding and so talented - all of our guests raved about all the food. We had a number of dietary restrictions on our guest list and they were very accommodating, providing individual plated meals when necessary and clearly marking which dishes were dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. Finally, don’t skip the appetizers/grazing platters - almost three months later, our family members are still talking about the pretzel bites, meatballs, and grilled cheese shooters.Bonus reason #4 if you’ve read this far: stay in one of the tents on-site for your wedding weekend if you are able to! The staff at the campground are just as incredible as the staff at the event center, the tents are so dreamy, and you will feel like you are the guests of honor for the duration of your stay. We truly had the best weekend of our lives and are so grateful to have come across this venue and amazing team.

We just had our wedding here over the weekend and I needed to share how wonderful the venue and staff were. We got the most complements from our guests on how perfect the venue was. The staff was so accommodating and sweet and helpful and just all around pleasant experience with each staff member we encountered. We’d like to make a special thanks to Andrea for really being a ray of sunshine of a chilly October weekend and maybe one of the absolute best parts of our entire wedding weekend at Camp Aramoni. She really truly cares about the guests and our family couldn’t be more grateful to her. Thank you to all of Camp Aramoni for making our wedding absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to return. And honorable mention to the chefs, food was one of the most memorable parts of the weekend. So thank you chef Carson for your attention to detail and the rest of the chefs for their hard work and dedication to beautifully executed and delicious food. Can’t thank everyone enough. And Jennifer the owner for curating the most beautiful tents we have ever seen. Our friends and family were in love with the accommodations. Truly a perfect wedding.

Absolutely wonderful clamping site in relatively close proximity to Chicago. A perfect weekend getaway that mixes both tranquility and adventure. Have stayed annually since opened and will continue to do so as they look to continue upgrading experiences and offering more for guests.Property is large and has a little bit of something for everyone, games, fire pits, sitting, hiking, collecting wildflowers, picnics. No amount of detailed request is too small for this small business.Food has greatly improved YoY since they’ve added the industrial kitchen and have an excellent new chef. Hope to see an expanded alcohol list as well.Tents are spacious, clean and affordable. Individual A/C units allow fast cool down or heat up in short order. Water pressure beats expectations. Cute details found throughout with comfortable furniture.Have not used the venue, but will look to find something to do there one of these years.

Amazing!!Our tent was super cozy, clean, and stocked with so many wonderful things. We especially loved the non-toxic hair and skin care products with essential oils, including a bug repellent spray made with lemongrass and vanilla. The lists of ingredients are super short and of excellent quality. We bought some the products to take home with us.Service was also top-notch. Whatever you need, you text the staff and they’ll accommodate you within minutes. We plan on returning in the spring

Camp Aramoni was a great get away from the city life. We traveled here for two days, and absolutely enjoyed every moment of our stay. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the food was delicious ( the breakfast biscuits, bourbon molasses French toast, and the bison burgers). Although we planned our trip for their last week of camping season, and the cold weather was beginning to set in, we had no issues keeping warm in our tent. We look forward to returning back to Camp Aramoni again!

My husband and I had our wedding here and we were absolutely blown away. Everything from start to finish was beyond perfect! Andrea, the event manager was AMAZING!! She is truly meant to do this job and exceeds it in every way. She was so helpful and helped us with things we didn’t even think of! The venue is breathtaking and the food is absolutely delicious. We were lucky enough to attend a couple Sunday brunches as well as a perfect food tasting which made our decision on food so easy! If you’re having your wedding here, don’t even bother with catering because the venue food is TOP NOTCH!!Our day and all of the days leading up to it were smooth sailing. We feel so lucky that we had Andrea in our corner and that we found this venue. She was more than happy to answer the hundreds of questions we had, and went out of her way to make our day absolutely perfect. All of our guests raved about the beauty and perfection of the venue, the food and the staff. I wish we could relive that day over and over again! 10/10!!

My niece and I stayed at Camp Aramoni for five days in early August. We had an amazing visit! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or considerate, enabling us to have the best time ever. Meals were outstanding - from breakfast to dinner to the hotdog lunch delivered to our tent. Occasional rain provided time for board games and reading in the tent, which was most relaxing. Since we were celebrating my retirement from teaching, the rejuvenating atmosphere at the camp was much appreciated. My niece and I would highly recommend Camp Aramoni to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, but also likes a “glamorous” setting!

We had a great mini getaway at Camp Aramoni! The food was seasonal and FANTASTIC, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the grounds and facilities were clean, updated, and perfectly decorated. I can’t wait to come back with friends and family. :) A special thanks to McKenzie and Dru for taking great care of us during our stay.

I was given the opportunity to host a meeting for work at the Bricks and Stones venue at Camp Aramoni. It was fabulous from planning sessions to the end of the event. Everything was thought through so well. We had around 80 attendees and every single person loved the place. It is set up so comfortably and easy to view speakers and the monitor - a super large TV. The acoustics were great and food out of this world. We even used the outside grounds for entertainment and fun interaction. All earless were clean and well kept. Definitely a top notch place. The pricing also was reasonable and less expensive than many venues in the area not as nice. Thank you Andrea and Jennifer. We will be back again next year!!!!

Great place for our family to reconnect. We loved sitting by the fire and enjoying spending time together. One of our daughters brought her guitar to play while sitting by the fire. The food was amazing! I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the food so much. Cheers to the chef! My daughters found a ranch close by, where they went horseback riding. My husband already wants to go back! Thanks so much to the staff that was very attentive.

My family hosted my brothers wedding in August 12, 2023 at Bricks & Stones and rented the entire campground at Camp Aramoni. The weekend was absolutely magical and everyone that works at the venue and campground was incredible! We so enjoyed working closely with Andrea and she helped to make all of our requests come to light. As the older sister of the groom, I was heavily involved in the planning of their special day. All of our meetings were organized and all the final details were exquisite. The caliber of details offered by their group were over the top. Every meal at the campground and the wedding was over the top!I am, personally, looking forward to heading back to Camp Aramoni with friends to enjoy all the accommodations again! Our family and friends that attended the wedding were all stunned at the property and everyone is looking for an excuse to return!

This was a lot more fun than I was expecting. Accommodations are spacious and well-appointed (also, the soaps and shampoos smelled great). We had plenty of room for our family. The smore kits were very nice and we had a great time at the nightly campfires. The nights are beautiful as there's little light pollution, which made things easier for a newbie astronomy enthusiast like me. The food was excellent - I was very happy to order the same thing for each meal. We went in the dry season so the river was running low enough that our kids could wade in at ~knee height and play on the rocks (bring good water shoes). I didn't get much of a chance to hike on the site's trails but the little I did was fun; Starved Rock is a very short drive away, so we spent a lot of time there. The staff, at first glance, seemed young, but they were on point - everything was done well and in a timely manner, and much respect to them for responding well to all the kids running around. It was, all in all, a great time!

Camp Aramoni is spectacular! And the Staff was so friendly and accommodating! Jennifer Bias has such an eye for detail and customer service!! My garden club met there to learn about the unbelievable landscape of natural prairie that has been planted. So amazing. And learned how this, otherwise, forgotten and abandoned area that runs along the Vermilion River has been brought back to its natural beauty. What a delightful afternoon. We had a delicious luncheon of Caesar Salad, Lasagna, & pizza which was beautifully displayed in buffet style. All of our guest were extremely impressed and delighted we chose Camp Aramoni for our program, meeting & luncheon! Thank you Jennifer and Staff. Loved it! - Beverly Malooley

We just returned from a 3 night family stay at Camp Aramoni and we can’t stop talking about how wonderful it was! We have two boys (one in college and one an upperclassman in HS) and between their sports and work schedules we were extremely limited with our time. So, the short drive from Chicago was ideal for our needs. However, Camp Aramoni truly exceeded our expectations! The “camp councilors” were awesome! They were so friendly and helpful! The accommodations were lovely and the set up was ideal. We could sit on the front porch for our own happy hour or walk up to the Airstream Bar for a drink while the boys played bags. Starved Rock and Matthiessen state parks were about an 8 minute drive away so we were able to do some great hikes! We also, rented kayaks and did a horseback trail ride at Cedar Creek Ranch. Both boys said multiple times how much fun the trip was (they couldn’t believe this was in Illinois) and if you know anything about teenage/20 something boys this is saying something!? We will be back! Thanks to all at Camp Aramoni who made this such a great experience!
