We called the company before placing an order to check that they would be able to condense our shipments to save us additional shipping costs. The order had to be delivered to a 3rd party barge service, which charges us separately and by pallet. A condensed order can save us hundreds or thousands of dollars on the barge service’s shipping costs. The representative assured us that the order contained items from 4 manufacturers, so would be sent in 4 shipments and we would receive an invoice after each. You cannot tell from looking at the order confirmation which manufacturer stocks which items. So I was surprised when we began receiving invoices, and each item was shipping individually. Their customer service team was very unhelpful; they said we should have known because the order form showed we would be receiving x amount of shipments. I foolishly assumed that their team would be managing our order on the back-end to ensure we only received 4 shipments, as discussed. Instead, we will be paying possibly several thousand dollars in additional shipping costs. Obviously, I am disappointed in the service provided by The Library Store and I do not recommend them for any large orders.

We ordered two barcode duplicators in April 2022. They shipped, no issues.\nWe ordered another two barcode duplicators in early May 2022. There was no response, but they took our $2k. We asked for a status update on July 11, but got no response. We finally asked for a refund on July 28th and received an email that it was done on Aug 1st. No explanation about why they never shipped.

I attempted to order bookshelves from this company's website. The next morning, they called me and tried to add $75 to the price for delivery to a "residential" rather than commercial address. If you are a small business or an individual, beware the bait and switch. Pricing on their website is misleading.

I placed an order yesterday and received multiple emails that our order could not be delivered to our residential address. So, I gave another address and was advised the same thing. I called the company and they blamed FedEx for not being able to deliver. I have received multiple shipments bigger than this from FedEx. They apparently do not care that they just lost a $1300 order. I wonder if the Owner/President of this company knows this is going on. The Library Store needs to take ownership and not blame FedEx who didn’t even know about the order yet. I highly do NOT recommend this company - take your business somewhere where they do care.

Outstanding customer service! The same day I placed my order, I received an email, letting me there was an issue with a form i provided and that an item i ordered was a close out and they couldn't fulfill the quantity I ordered. One quick correction to the form, and I picked new item numbers to replace the items they couldn't fulfill. Within hours I received another e-mail stating everything was all set, changes made, form accepted, and order processed and on the way !!! An A+, I only wish I could give them more stars!

The only complaint I have is with the way they bill for shipping. I recently ordered paperback racks for our library. They cost between $1000-2000. We were charged for shipping (over $100) which is reasonable. However, we were charged an extra $75 fee for the item to be taken off the truck. We are responsible for bringing it into the building. This seems a bit excessive.
