The Best Western Troy Hotel is a nice, clean hotel offering comfortable accommodations at a great rate for its location, very close to the interstate. The staff is fine, helpful, and provides outstanding customer service, with some guests noting they are treated like an old friend, making check-in super easy. The rooms are large, perfectly comfortable, clean, and always clean, featuring comfy beds that are very comfortable and nicer than some have at home. Each room includes a small fridge, microwave, coffee pot, desk, and sitting area, with wonderful blackout curtains and a shower with perfect pressure. The hotel provides a complementary breakfast that is perfectly fine, hot, and good, always hitting the spot with items like cereal, yogurt, fruit, sausage, gravy, eggs, biscuits, and bread. There is an indoor pool near the lobby, though its chlorine smell is noticeable upon entry. The property has some “wear and tear” issues, with worn furniture and minor repairs needed, but it remains in overall good condition. Its location offers plenty of restaurants nearby, including a Cracker Barrel across the street. A point of disappointment for some guests is the inoperable jet tubs in certain rooms, which are not hooked up and lack clear notification. The parking lot in the front can be noisy on busy weekends from people coming and going; requesting an upper floor or a room on the west end is recommended for those sensitive to noise. Despite minor drawbacks, many guests are very satisfied, would definitely stay again, and consider it a favorite home away from home, top of the list compared to other local hotels.
