Called ahead to order a 5 tread stair stringer. Told they had two in stock. Arrive 15 minutes later. Pay for the item and go out to the yard. Yard guy tells me I don’t think we have any and then proceeds to tell when they are low on stock they are supposed to call and verify they have the item. He takes me to the building and said yep, none there except a broken one. I go back inside and speak to the same guy I talked to on the phone and bought the stinger from who also says he’s the manager. I said how are you going to make this right, his solution is I make my own even though a neighboring store had one in stock. I offered the solution you have one delivered since I called verified they had one in stock. Nope they wouldn’t do that. I didn’t think my request was out of character since I did verify and then they sold me the product that didn’t exist.

This is a lumber yard! Found material for direct screening system available from one of their distributors in longer lengths that fit better... and.. cheaper than on line. Got pvc 1x4 in 18' lengths that saved $$.. and less than the box stores. AND... delivered so I don't have to rent a truck or cut it down at store. Its what a lumber yard can do!
