Very cheap price to start out but continually raised their monthly rates. I knew that would happen, just didn’t expect I’d be paying 2x as much after less than a year and then continued to increase the rate. No incentive/discount given even after 2+ years

The online rental process was easy and quick. The storage unit was clean and the overhead door was easy to raise and lower. Overall, Extra Space Storage in Troy seems like a great place to rent storage units.

The storage units were fine, but rate increases were frequent. Had a larger unit and ina shower time… rate increase, so i moved to a smaller unit.
I did call and complain about another rate increase after only a few months and they split the difference on my smaller unit.
At the time I rented this, there were no other units available anywhere in my area. They gave me a great intro rate and guaranteed that is far advance as I could pay that I would guarantee that rate. Sure enough as soon as my guaranteed prepaid rent was done, that’s when the increase came .
I now rent 1 larger unit for less than i ever paid at this location.

They suck you in at a lower rate for a couple of months, then want you to pay $217 a month for a 10x25 unit that’s not all that easy to get in and out of.
Absolutely ridiculous the price gauging they’re trying to do. Not me, not now, not ever again.
