I was in the store today shopping for Christmas decorations. When I went up to the register that was light up.(#2) it took a good 2-3 minutes for an associate to come to me. They were on the side talking. Once the associate got there she seem to be upset for no reason. I was super polite to her and she had an attitude so at the end of the transaction I told her have a nice day and she didn’t say anything back. I know some people have bad days but I didn’t deserve this treatment after a long day of working myself. I hope management handles this because at the en of the day we all out trying to make money for whatever reason.

Tonight was my worst experience in this store.It was two young ladies working tonight around 7:23 pm (12/10/24. The lady that rang me had an attitude when I ask about an item she looked at me as if I was stupid she was too busy talking to her coworker about her possibly pregnancy or whatever the case was as if I was disturbing her. They need to do a training on customer service etiquette at this store.

This is not my usual store, so they were missing things that I like(craft items). But do have things that I have to go to wally world for(baking pans).

Pros:
-outside of building finally being redone August 2024 when it’s been looking paint-chipped lol for years (see photo)
-usually several available parking spaces
-good prices and awesome products
Cons:
-high crime area; recommend to def lock ur door if u sit in this parking lot or lock it the moment u get back in ur car
-you will likely get panhandled at this location, sometimes even within 10 seconds of pulling car into lot you may get approached so please watch your surroundings and I recommend backing into spot versus pulling in so that you don’t get trapped bc there are some aggressive people who come up to cars here
-giant potholes in the parking lot when pulling in
-sometimes food supply runs low at this store and this is in a real food desert so that can be problematic for the many shoppers who come on foot without access to much food

Prices are great. You can find toys, craft supplies, food, cleaning supplies, storage, and more! Really recommend!

Michael is the best. He went out of his way to help my mom find what she was looking for. The store is fairly organized and clean.

I'm new to Urbana and travel across state often, However THIS STORE is the absolute one of the Worst Dollar Tree(s) I have ever been to.The outdoor decor wood sign is falling to pieces, Infront of a slightly inclined, pothole filled parking lot, that is NOT safe for wheelchairs at all!The cashiers were also rude and avoided contact EVEN at the register when asking if an item was in stock (multiple times, different seasonal items). Final straw was the ALREADY OPEN drinks! I have gotten a Water, Bottle soda, Snapple and a JuMex that ALL have been open before purchased (Only noticing when on the road, shouldn't have to check if my drinks a sealed and yes, two separate occasions.)I gave this store chances and it has failed me in many ways, I'm going to have to shop elsewhere.
