The worst place I ever been, I want a disc adjustment and a technician force me to do a inspection with 150. Also their altitude was disgusting.

Great bike shop. I came in for repairs to my handlebars and they dropped what they were doing to help me, and did not charge for my repairs. The staff was very friendly and the shop was very clean. I will definitely come here again for future repairs.

Great bike shop! Staff was very friendly and courteous. Their repair services are excellent-fast turnaround time, repairs are done very professionally, and prices are reasonable. They also go the extra mile to return your bike in tip top shape. Recently my pedal fell off, and not only did they replace the pedal they re-inflated the tires too!

This review goes for the management and owner on how they treat their employees, which is unfair. I worked for Ron Durst for six years, sold hundreds of thousands of dollars annually of bicycles and fitness equipment, and was dedicated to the company. In fact, I was their #1 salesperson - yet was paid the lowest in the entire company. I even offered to lower my personal commission in order to give my fellow employees a bigger slice, since a lot of the grief was reflected down to me since I did sell more than everyone else (little did they know that they were making much more than me in base pay). I just wanted it to be fair for everyone. When I asked to be fairly compensated as the others, I was let go. On top of that, Ron & Mary Ann had made a personal pledge to me that they would pay the interest on my home loan for a year, as they had for other employees. I was very surprised by the gesture, and thanked them immensely. They had even asked for my payment schedule so they could make the contribution. Not once did they ever make a payment. In truth, Durst's mistreatment of me, personally, goes back several years. in late 2017, my mother became ill, and we lost her in January of 2018. Knowing that my father would have problems following, I asked if I could change my day off from Thursday to Monday so that I could spend the two days off with my father. At first they reluctantly allowed it, but as time progressed, I was asked to go back to my regular schedule. My father then started declining rapidly, and his falls were becoming weekly events. In January of 2020, I had to put dad in a nursing home. In a short time, he was to go to Barnes in St. Louis, and it did require me to ask for vacation time. In March, COVID hit, and I had to return home. I never saw my father again. When he passed, that May, I was under a lot of pressure to sell the house and close up the estate. I was so afraid to ask for time off, so I drove back and forth to Decatur twice a week for a year, trying to get everything finalized on the one day I had off a week. It eventually took A toll on my own health, and I relapsed into symptoms that mirrored MS (something that had happened several years before). Durst was never supportive of what I was going through - in fact, Jared often made comments that made fun of me.On the day we buried my father, Ron and Jared sent me on A wild goose chase just hours after the burial, telling me that I could not return to work until after I had a COVID test. This despite the fact that I was one of the only employees that had been vaccinated, I had no symptoms, and my father's funeral was attended by less than 30 people and we practiced social distancing at the largest church in Decatur. So, in short, I had to drive back to Champaign for a test and did not get results back for two days - this was August of 2020 and results were not immediate as they are now. I did not have COVID, but I was forced to take time off, time I should have had later when I could work on the house.I also wanted to purchase a bike that summer, but Ron refused to sell me a bike. In fact, he took the bike to the other store, where it sat for over a year - this during the time when we sold out of bikes. The bike I was going to buy should have easily sold. I'll never understand why he did that.Any time Ron wanted to "talk" to me, he belittled me and treated me like a child. He even handed me a Boy Scouts code that he wanted me to write a paragraph for every point. I am a 55 year-old man and do not need to be treated like a child. I have over 30 years of experience in retail. Never in my life have I been treated like Ron Durst treated me.But - I am not the only one he treated like this. In fact, I saw two other employees mistreated during my tenure at Durst. I also heard him make racist and homophobic statements, as well as push his conservative views. In short, Ron Durst is a bully, liar, hypocrite, and a coward. He is an evil man who does not care about his workers or for anyone else. I would NEVER recommend shopping at Durs

Really nice people and fantastic service. I had an issue with my belt drive bike since they're pretty uncommon around here, I wasn't sure if anyone was going to be able to fix it. They were honest about being new to belt drive bikes and maintained communication with me whenever they ran into issues with the bike. Fair pricing too.

Bought one of our bikes there awhile ago and was impressed with the salesman. He listened to what we were interested in (fairly low price) and based his recommendations on where we planned to ride. My bike was purchased in Ohio and their tune-up service gave me piece of mind and it shifted properly again afterwards. We have needed miscellaneous items for our bikes and they always have what we need too.

Billy and the staff at Durst Cycle in Urbana have provided me with an outstanding customer experience. I had purchased a bike pump online and had difficulty understanding exactly how it works with presta valves. Billy gladly taught me how to inflate my tires, and also took the time to properly adjust the height of my bike seat. Nothing was asked in return for their service. Their passion and commitment to customer support is unmatched. I highly recommend using Durst Cycle for all your cycling needs. Thank you, Billy, for your patience and support.

Great Service, have helped me purchase the right size bikes and helmets for my three growing boys. A little pricey but worth it for the service they provide and helping get you or your kids into the right bike. I’d be lost trying to do it on my own.

I work near the Urbana store and so I've stopped in a few times to browse and I've bought a few accessories. Reading through the reviews, I thought it would be worthwhile to say that I've had nothing but great experiences with the staff (a few different members). I've chatted with them about bikes, learned some things, felt no pressure to buy something expensive. So, maybe they have new people in the store? I don't know, but maybe it's worth giving them another shot. I'm not hurting for a new bike soon, though I've been thinking about an upgrade. When I do, I will definitely consider them, mainly for their locations, since one is near my work and the other is near my home in Champaign. I will add that I do most of my own repairs, so I'm not expecting to rely on them for that.

The stuff are very stupid. A person can tell whether a bike fits them simply by riding on it, but the guys there always told me to do this and that, and convincing me that the bike is good for me. They put the bike in a very awkward position, and told me that's what I should do because they've been selling bikes for ten years, which is totally b******* because I am myself an amateur bike athlete. After a purchasing a bike, they tried their best to convince me to buy other things that I didn't want, threatening that if I don't buy, a police will get me a ticket. Stupid d*** asses, live a happy life and don't go there. Go to the "champaign Cycle" on the other side of the town, there are the normal nice guys.

If you are going here for anything but to buy a bicycle they can't be bothered with helping you. We went there to get a bicycle pump, a kick stand, and inter tube, they wouldn't even come to ask us if we needed help. We ordered a part they didn't have in stock; needless to say we never got it. We took a bicycle in for repairs and they wouldn't even do it. This is the absolutely worst bicycle shop ever!

Great local bike shop. The owners are friendly and respectful to their customers. We returned to get our second bike as well.

Brought my bike in with what I thought was 2 flat tires and overall in need of a major tune-up. I’m thinking 2-3 weeks and $100 at least. It was great to find out the turnaround time was only a couple of days. When they called to say it was ready I was also happily surprised by the service and price. For under half what I thought it would cost, my bike is fixed and ready to go. Only one tire was flat and besides a couple minor repairs, it didn’t need a pricey tune up yet. Maybe next year they said. I will go back over and over. Very nice to have an honest and thoughtful experience.

Good people there. And immensely kind, honest, and helpful.
