“This is a small thrift store located in the middle of a historic Urbana neighborhood. Most items were pretty worn, but there were some treasures sprinkled throughout. The book selection was surprisingly great! The store itself is very hard to navigate, and you'll find yourself saying excuse me every other minute trying to get around another shopper. Check out was easy and efficient.”
“I really loved visiting this unique little thrift shop! The clothes were all in good condition and there was a wide selection from casual shirts to formal dresses. Lots of nice shoes too. Along with clothes there was a curious selection of miscellaneous new-in-box goods like home decor, dinnerware, makeup & skincare products, etc. all sold at great prices. The woman at the register was incredibly kind and friendly. I would definitely visit again!”
“It is such a great place ran by amazing people. Donated and bought stuff from here several times and sad to hear that they are about to close due to the whole building will be torn down. Come to visit them before they close!”
“This location used to be a County Market years ago. Now it’s a partial grocery store and partial resale store. A lot of people like this store but I’m confused why some of the groceries are so expensive here when it’s supposed to be like a safe haven for people experiencing poverty.
Yes prices are rising everywhere nowadays but check out the prices on the photos I posted here. Over $9 for some peppers? ?
Not the store’s fault but people steal carts from this store often (see photo)
But thank you to Salt and Light for being a place with food in this region of Urbana that is considered a “food desert””
“Amazing place with good old scraps for projects, everything is reasonable priced and the setup is very good I would have no clue how to categorize all this stuff but they make it look like light work!”
