Worst store ever. Employees that customer like garbage. Special order desk and security guards assume customers are a waste of their time. Waiting more than 20 minutes for my product and no one manning the desk after I was told Daniel was on his way. Never arrived. I believe he was on his break. I complained to the manager on duty Julia who barely apologized and I left with a refund abs no product. I’m done with Menards. Avoid at all cost.

I went in this week to menards and got help from a so called Austin. When I was asking questions he keeped on rolling his eyes and being a bit hesitant to telling me where things are. I came up to Tom and helped me with my PVC questions. Thanks Tom your the best !

So when you order doors three weeks in Advance and Menards sends an email saying they are ready for pick up, you assume your doors will be there. But when arrive they tell you your door was pulled by a delivery driver and sent on a truck ride. Then you are told the door will be tracked down and they will call you. 24 hours later., no call, no door! We are committed to our customers to finish the job by 4/20/24 for house guests and baptism .
Menards answer the door was left at another customers house & they will call when they have it. Second day lost! Can’t trim can’t paint, can’t finish! 48 hours wasted because some didn’t read the order number, the name on the order or make a simple phone call!
Despite a lot of mistakes the Manager made great efforts and eventually got the last door to me two days later and we finished the project on schedule.

Had a siding project have the incorrect color of the trim get delivered to the store. Contractor started the demo work, went to start the install and noticed the incorrect item. We load it up and bring the item back hoping to get either something similar or maybe they had mislabeled our pick up. Nope, just wrong item pulled for the order by the packing company. Talk to the assistant manager (or something along those lines) Vinnie. Vinnie says they'll get the item reordered (just over 2 weeks) and they can either give me $40 back, or deliver the item for free (5 minutes from the store). I explain to him that with having the job go from 1 day to 2 days now I have to pay the contractor more, and $40 isn't even 25% of that cost. Vinnie says that's the most they'll give us back on the order, which isn't even 20% of the cost of the incorrect product, not even 1% of the cost of the whole order of material. We go back and forth a bit, Vinnie says we can try talking to the packing company about the issue but $40 is the most we'll get from Menards. Vinnie then claims that there's no other manager above him, no gm or district manager who can resolve the issue. After more back and forth he tells me he does have a manager, he's just not there until Monday. I decide I'll be taking up the issue with that manager now, Sean. I'll be calling him Monday. Hopefully we can resolve this then.

Jose in flooring was very helpful and showed great customer service. I am someone who really appreciates a little customer service when now a days it feels hard to come by. He helped me try and figure out my situation when I was quite frustrated. He even saved me some money in the process and dropped the jingle ("save big money at menards"), made me chuckle.

Stay away from the Klearvue cabinets! It was the worse decision we ever made. We were looking at some more expensive cabinets but we were convinced to go with the budget friendly Klearvue cabinets. The lady who I will not name was very nice and seemed knowledgeable but she made a lot of mistakes with the items she ordered when working on the design. The entire experience has been stressful and frustrating. Had to go back to the store to find out they forgot to give us items when we told them stuff was missing. She kept saying she put prepared the order with her manager and special order items came from the distribution center. Well, items came damaged and we had to return and just found some more damaged items. I’m tired or having to go return stuff. I wish I never went to Vernon Hills Menards to look at cabinets. All I can say is don’t even look at Klearvue! It was supposed to be an easy DIY installation but has turned into our worst nightmare because of all the problems we’ve had.

Beautiful store, very clean and organized but I don’t like how the employees are prejudice and constantly keeping an eye on me as I go get my pick up order. When I came in I greeted an employee but he simply ignored me and eye me up and down. Guess seeing a woman of color they seem to be on their toes as if I’m going to steal something.
