We were looking for a new printer. The store was very busy on Labor Day. Yet David treated us like we were the only people in the store. He took about 20 minutes to walk us through the latest improvements and figure out what was important to us. We ended up buying a top of the line Epson mostly due to his knowledge about each printer. Then he carried the box to the checkout, went and got us a cart and notified security so we were expected at the door. I'd say that is a five star employee.

I ordered the Galaxy Note 10+ for in store pickup but had to wait 5 days for it to get into stock. So when Friday came around I get messaged that my phone was delayed indefinitely so I called the store and told them to transfer my order to another store that showed it in stock. I went to Vernon Hills to pick up my phone and when they looked at it they said I would have to wait a week or they could cancel the order and I could get the one in stock. I told them to cancel it but when they started ringing it up my trade in was $50 less so I told them that I want the $600 from the order I reserved. After an hour and a half they couldn't figure it out so I went online and put the phone in my cart for pickup at the store and the $600 showed up so the employee told me to order it that way. When I placed the order he said I would have to come back tomorrow to pick it up even though the phone was right in front of me. This is stupid and unacceptable, there is a reason Best Buy has one of the worst customer ratings of any box retailer. Fix your customer service and maybe I will shop at your store again.

I received a REWARD for $10. There was an expiration date listed on it. Unfortunately I missed the date. The store refused to honor $10 reward (even after I purchased two (2) 55" flat screens televisions. I was told it was out of their hands and to call corporate. I tried on numerous occasions and had gone around in circles between pressing different prompts to be routed to correct person. Message literally looped around numerous times and I spent hours. For $10, I never expected to spend this much time on this matter. I am frustrated and upset since this $10 is a reward, and not a coupon. To me a reward is something earned.

Not one to complain. BUT..........Ordered a tv online. Scheduled a delivery date for Saturday from 12 - 6 pm. Got confirmation email it was on the way and arriving approximately at 405 pm. Received a delivery complete receipt email around 415 pm. It is now 649 pm and no tv. I called best buy and now they are saying it was automatically rescheduled for Tuesday. No worries my time is not valuable.

We've been to the Best Buy at Vernon Hills on more occasions than one and our experience here has been positive every single time. The store itself is pretty big with a vast selection of things one would expect to buy at a store like this. There is a person usually at a counter near the entrance who can help if you are looking for something specific and not sure where to find. Recently I was here to buy just a memory card and not only did he point me in the right direction but also had one of the store staff sent over who could help me out with my purchase and any questions I may have. All in all this is a nice Best Buy to be at!

Went to look for a camera and David C was phenomenal . Really knowledgeable asked me what my needs were and spent about 49 Mintues educating me on cameras. I need to learn a lot almost like learning another language. If your looking for computers or cameras I would highly recommend him.

Wow! What did you do? I hated and loathed this store. Unfortunately, I was forced into the store by a geek need. Absolutely didn't expect your service rep to be such Rock Stars. Geek club Joseph and Musha Sales Rep are awesome. Congratulations to who hired those two. I absolutely loved working with Musha. Of course I'll be back.

My universal remote control recently went on the fritz, so i decided to go through my local (Vernon Hills, IL) Best Buy to purchase a new universal remote (Logitech Harmony) and have the Geek Squad perform the programming & installation. Over the phone, they sold me the remote and made me a Geek Squad appointment for 2 weeks out. They informed me that a Geek Squad agent would be at my house between 8:00am to noon on the appointment day with my new remote and complete the installation. Well, they never showed! When I called them to see where they were, they informed me that due to inventory issues, they would need to reschedule. No phone call, no email, nothing. After venting, I promptly canceled my order. What a waste of time!

This store and chain is the worst. Have called. Numerous times and get no answer...transferred to gurnee. Staff is of no help and completely bureaucratic. Big mistake shopping there. Horrible experiemce Will go back to Abt from now on.

We received off-the-charts amazing customer service experience tonight from Ashton. We've been in the process of selecting a TV for our main TV room and have had a really hard time finding one that seems to work with our setup. To be honest, we've tried two other TVs from another store (not Best Buy) and returned them...our fault for trying to save money and get refurbished ones. Tonight I learned that technology and the way we watch TV is changing fast. Streaming is the wave of the future, and you have to have a super updated system to make it all work. We currently have cable, but that's totally about to change, and thanks to Ashton I learned more about the new TVs on the market and their capabilities. I learned about Roku and streaming. And, I wholeheartedly believe that after he listed to our wants and needs, that he worked with us to find us the right TV that checked all our boxes. We went back and forth between a Vizio and a TCL and ended up with a Vizio. As I'm writing this, I'm not sure whether we're going to keep the Vizio or switch to a TCL, but I'm excited to know I'll end up with one of these great options. Thanks to Ashton I'm excited about my future TV watching!

Don't ever sign up for cell in this store cuz they will tell you false information and mess up your cell bill. I am having issue with my bill with overcharge of nearly $1000 little over two months now and still haven't got it resolved. And this was caused cuz they can't do a simple returning procedure. So if you are going to sign up for cell please go somewhere else not this department

This Best Buy has the worst service. Every time I go in this store, not one person acknowledges that you are there. No one offers assistance. They see you, but will not speak. I'm not sure if it's a racial thing with this store but it by far has the worst service. Spend your money somewhere else.

Facing lots of competition from online retailers and discount stores (like Costco and Sams Club), as well as electronics retailers in premium malls, I like how Best Buy has made some improvements to stay relevant in the current market. Some things I really like about the store: - Very nice and spacious parking lot - The salespeople weren't too cumbersome, and the ones I talked to were knowledgeable about the products. - Overall, it wasn't too loud or crowded inside, with a logical layout - Lots of discount appliances were available, in addition to premium options - Nice displays for premium products, almost giving it a mall feel - Good selection of all items from TVs to appliances to cameras to smartphones - Great displays for appliances, especially full kitchen setups. This really stood out for me for being nicer than most stores I'd visit when shopping for appliances. - Excellent selection of televisions - Had several VR options available, including an oculus rift unit for testing. What I wasn't a big fan of was the aged dark color carpet which doesn't fit in with the "cool" vibe the store seems to be projecting. The really cold warehouse lighting also took away from the experience and contributed to a negative opinion when I first stepped in (versus warm lighting and nice bright wooden tones on displays or brighter colored walls to invoke positive feelings). This was confusing as the carpet and lighting was distracting enough to take away from the overall premium and modern looks of the displays and products. The selection of games, music, and other media were also quite limited, although the push to stream these online may contribute to the decline. Overall, I like this Best Buy store more than other local ones and would visit again when looking for premium products.

another excellent experience at best buy, this time buying a couple iPhones for the missus and me. i find the staff to be well trained, knowledgeable and very helpful. prefer going to best buy over an Apple store, which are crowded and in which i feel rushed.
