Despite its good condition and welcoming atmosphere, some players have experienced issues, such as inaccurate information from the pro shop about carts, especially during the off-season. The staff has been described as friendly recently, after previous negative interactions. The course features challenging tee shots, particularly on holes #1, #8, and #9, where water hazards make certain shots difficult, especially for players using the back tees. Some suggestions include adding further back tee boxes to improve playability on these holes. Overall, Vernon Hills provides an enjoyable golfing experience with a good clubhouse and attentive staff, making it a suitable choice for golfers looking for a fun round.
Recently, we held a big retirement party at this venue. It was an ideal setting, and the team was outstanding! ! I strongly suggest considering this venue for any event.

Nice little course. It's in really good shape for this early in the season. Staff was great.

A nice spot for a weekday morning 9-hole round. The price is reasonable and 9 holes make it less of a commitment. Occasionally, though, they don’t open right on time in the morning.
