“If you are looking for a suburban paint store, look no further than JC Licht in Hinsdale. After raising my children these last 15-20 years, my home was in definite need of being refreshed, from top to bottom, with a new paint job. I have been working with the amazing folks at JC Licht through out this whole process in order to ensure that I get the correct paint I need, not only the quantity of paint, but also in the right sheen or color. The patience of the folks that work at JC Licht to ensure that I am completely satisfied is beyond impressive. “The Big Orange Box Store sold me paint 15 years ago.The leftover cans still had the paint code tickers on them.After 3 trips & attempts, The Big Orange Box Store was unable to match the color that they had sold me in 2010 – but charged me $50 anyway.1 trip to S/W on Meacham, and in 15 minutes, Dustin S. & Ken C. had me sorted out and on my way.Lesson Learned - Buy paint at a paint store, & this is a good one.”

“We are renovating our new home and needed ideas on paint colors and some samples. We stopped by Sherwin Williams per our contractors recommendation. This store is fantastic. Mike & Marten have been SO helpful in guiding us through supplies that we need, ideas for colors, and just overall nice guys with lots of paint knowledge (Mike actually paints on the side so he has a great understanding). We've come a couple times to pick up paint and supplies and they are always so kind. I highly recommend this location!”
“I bought tinted paint for my garage door. I asked Pedro if I could return the paint if I bought more of it just to be sure i have enough for the job and didnt have to go back for more if i fell short. He assured me that I can bring them back for a refund if i didnt use them. So I purchased 3 gallons instead of 2 gallons. I only used one gallon and went back to return 2 gallons. The Assistant Manager who was in the store at that time tells me tinted paint cannot be returned and Pedro is out of town and is not reachable. I had to eat the $90 extra cost. If I was told of the policy before, I would have maybe bought less and came back to buy more in case I fell short. Always ask for an email confirmation.Update: I had to change my review to a 4 star, just for the professional way this was handled by them. I promptly received a call from the Owner who listened to my case and acted promptly to rectify this.”

“Been going to this store often during the last year.They never fail to greet me when I walk in.They always let me know the right type of paint for my application and always provide friendly and fast service.There is always some sort of sale going on,so I get what I need and save.Like that they have plenty of other supples,wood putty and tools,so I don't have to drive out to a hardware store.Definite 5 stars.”

“I wish I knew that they can help you find paint to match your wall color earlier! I brought in a piece of paint taken off my wall, they have a system that will identify a matching color. It will be a customized color to match. I was shocked at how close it was! They even dried it with a blow dryer to make sure it was a good match. Staff was very friendly. A quart of paint was $20, well worth not needing to repaint my whole wall to cover a few stains.”
