Don’t bother with this course. Not kept well. Didn’t pick up range balls the day before so couldn’t hit before our round, which was at 10am… then they didn’t tell us they had a tournament shotgun start at 12. So when we got to the back 9 we had to wait 30 mins to start and they wouldn’t refund us or give us any sort of deal. Bad ownership. Bad staff. They don’t care here. And it’s $75 a round.

Course was in great condition and staff was very friendly. A man named John Hill ruined our experience as he was playing slower than a grandma walking out of the hospital after getting hip surgery. (No disrespect to any grandmas that just got hip surgery) I understand that you have kids but you have to be aware of others on the course with you that are trying to get 18 holes in at a reasonable time. John Hill you better hope that we don't cross paths again or I will have to outdrive you with a 5 wood in front of your wife again.

Whoever owns this place is letting it go. They are putting little to no money into it. Played there a few weeks ago and was just rough. The course, the clubhouse, the carts, the ball washers, you name it, it needed maintenance. Much better courses in the area than this place (Pinecrest, Redtail, etc)

Course was in good shape. Extremely hot with no water jugs or beer cart on the course. Staff was accommodating, especially Raquel behind the bar.

Turnberry is a bit confusing to get to. Tucked away in Rural Lakewood Il, 60014. It’s a beautiful drive through multiple small lakes and gorgeous neighborhoods surrounded by lovely a golf course. The public is welcomed by a helpful staff ready to please you. Our lunch was delicious and more than ample, moderately $$. Treat yourself to a trip to Turnberry CC. Call ahead to let them know your coming.

Fun, challenging enough, and Very well-maintained Golf course, with greens in great shape, very friendly staff, and reasonable prices.I recommend it and planning on going back very soon!

I usually dont waste my time on negative reviews but the public needs to be aware. Some of these posts are sad. Sad to see such a fine establishment turn out this way. This was one of the finest golf courses in the area. The post about the young man with cancer is particularly concerning. Kids should always be welcomed and given special consideration and patience. 6 hour rounds come down to mismanagement and nothing else. Greed most likely. Double booking and 7 min tee times are most likely the reason. Not having a ranger on a public course is a free-for-all. Ive been there and its exactly that, no management to be found. The fire suppression system has been out of service for several years now. I dont know how they can skate around that and still conduct business. This place is a lawsuit away from being shutdown. There are several nice courses in the vicinity where you'll be welcomed and treated like a human. I can be sympathetic to growing pains of trying to establish a business, but when a young man with cancer is shown such disrespect and heartless consideration. Thats the low of the low in my book and is simply inexcusable.

Had a blast playing this course. Holes are fun to play, giving lots of opportunities for shooting low. Good mix of elevation, tough approaches, and hazards. Greens ran true, but the rough was well, rough. Only one hole had standing water in the bunkers, but overall best value for quality golf in the NW Suburbs that I have played. If you're on the fence about it, its worth every penny.

My husband took my two kids here along with a friend from out of town for a day of golfing. My son was diagnosed with cancer back in October and is trying to get his strength back and golfing is helping. The owner badgered them the entire time they were there about their pace of play even though they let someone go in front of them and were being very respectful! Per John hills review below, they were angry at how they were treated and I can’t believe the owner basically commented for them to go somewhere else and to take my kids to a course where they allow slow play. Absolutely heartbreaking that he has no heart for what my kid is battling and couldn’t have just given them a break. I will share his experience with everyone I know. I hope that one day you (the owner) can realize that you never know what someone is going through and that even when told, you still didn’t care. I wish you the best!

My rating is soley based on the golf course and the value as I did not get a chance to go into the clubhouse. Nice course, good variety of holes, elevation changes. Greens were a little slow.

Course conditions were great. Only complaint is the GPS in the cart was pretty outdated. However the value (27$ for a cart & 18 holes) is exceptional.

Tee'd off 45 minutes late due to no carts. Not even an apology for having any carts available or letting us know when they would be. Understaffed for sure and un kept greens.

Called and booked a tee time 2 days out just for them to cancel it because a tournament was going on. Wouldn’t be any issue but they never gave me a call letting us know, so we cleared our schedule for the afternoon and came out just to get sent home. Don’t know how you could allow me to book a tee time only 2 days out and not know a tournaments going on. Wont be coming back
