Ww came to this campground with our camping club this weekend. October 6-8, 2023. Check in was easy and they guided us to our site. I was very disappointed to find the sites so small (we have a 40 ft 5th wheel) and the neighbors site water hook up was right in the middle of the little grass area we had available. We have 2 dogs that we put up a kennel for, and it was a challenge to say the least. The campground is huge and well maintained. And I imagine the other amenities are nice (most were closed for the season, which is understandable). What really got me though was Sunday morning. It VERY clearly states in their check in materials that quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am. Again, pretty standard and acceptable. Imagine my surprise to be woken up at 7:30 am on Sunday to what sounded like construction going on outside my camper!Got dressed and stepped outside to find CAMPGROUND STAFF draging and dropping about 40 picnic tables around with a tractor in the pavilion right outside my camper! Sheesh! I get it...end of season work and all, but respect your OWN quiet hours! Not a good way to end the weekend.

Pull up the entrance you're like,Wow, this could be fun. As they take you, the to your site it starts getting a little disappointing as the site was very small, no parking on top of your neighbors and neighbors there water hook up was in the middle of the yard. We unhook and set up camp. We went for a walk and checked everything out. They actually offer a lot. They have a clean beach, 2 fishing piers, mini golf, pools, hot tub, dog park, boat rentals, movie night, Sunday school, church, and more. The fishing right down sucked this weekend. No one (not just me) was catching anything. The water is very dirty! The camp store is way overpriced on the appetizers. They have bundles of wood for sale $8 you'll get a 20-minute fire out of it. Good luck and have funRooms: The site was quite small, and we had our neighbors water hook up in the middle of the yard, which is a huge inconvenience and trip hazard. Site not only small but makes it hard to park you truck ( hung out 1/2 in the road, no other choice)Safety: The campground is clean and well groomed, but again, the neighbors water hook up was in the middle of our site (site E5)Walkability: All the main roads within the campgrounds are paved with makes it nice for a little walk.Food & drinks: They do provide a fire pit at each site but no cooking grates. The camp store has some appetizers but is way overpriced for the amount of food you get.

We stayed for the day at a friend's Mobil home. A great family fun place. Clean, friendly & welcoming. A hidden gem in the woods! It was like stepping back in time to a wholesome safe haven. ?

Hope you get nice neighbors because you're packed together like sardines. People seemed chill. We were guests so only spent a couple hours.

Not really my thing. Trailers are really close together and the beach has gravel pit like sand, which is really really dusty and sticks to everything.

We have been camping at FLB since 1958. Our Dad was a permanent resident on N-1 until his passing in 2009

Can't say enough about fish lake beach. A throwback and a wonderful experience. Staff does a great job, clean and friendly. Everyone had a smile and a helpful attitude. Put the phone down and share life with your family, it's a great place to do that.

TLDR: It will do in a pinch. It's a nice, woody site, but the entire campground badly needs updates. The toilets need to be replaced, the 3 I tried all needed the handle held down to flush anything, and some didn't even flush reliably then. The Wi-Fi password we got at check-in was wrong, and when I called, the guy gave us another, but even after successfully logging on, the Wi-Fi signal was so spotty, we couldn't listen to our radio program. The guy said there was nothing he could do about it. I had read Yelp and Google reviews saying the signal was terrible, and it says on their website "bad wi-fi is not grounds for a refund" (I should have taken this as a red flag), but if they know their Wi-Fi is bad, then why don't they fix it? Upgrade, get more networks, more bandwidth to support this huge community of users they have. I am just glad neither of us got called in to work, as we work remotely and depend on good Wi-Fi to be able to work on the road. We would have had to drive to town and find a coffee shop. So we probably will use the KOA next time, unless we see FLB upgraded Wi-Fi. We were ultimately glad we were only staying one night.

Do not invest your money in a park model trailer at this campground. It is essentially a small home and you have zero protection here. There is no lot ownership and no lot leases. The only thing you are issued is a permit that allows you to put your trailer on their property. This permit is revocable and terminable at anytime and completely at the owners discretion. I purchased a park model trailer on one of their lots and put a lot of money into rehabbing and updating it. My kids and I spent one season there and unfortunately my kids just didn't love it. When I went to sell my trailer I found out that I could no longer sell it on my own. It had to be sold through Fish Lake Beach Trailer sales for a 10% commission which is a complete money grab as trailer sales are so hot right now. It sold in one day at full price and I had to pay them $3,000 for really doing nothing. During the negotiations with the potential buyers the owner of Fish Lake Beach got annoyed with my requests and told me in no uncertain terms that he could decide not to sell my trailer and remove it off of the lot and out of the park at my expense at anytime. Additionally he made it very clear that he had no obligation to continue to issue a seasonal permit to me. I was in a horrible situation with absolutely no protection of my investment. This family runs this private recreational campground like the Wild West, they have 100% of the legal power to do whatever they want with your investment and you are at their mercy. Please think twice before purchasing a trailer in this park. There are many other parks that actually offer the trailer owner protection with lot ownership or lot leases and they are much more cost effective. I have never been treated so horribly by someone in my life. Stay away from this place.

I loved this camping resort. I have never been camping outside of camping at motocross tracks, so this place was my first real recreational camping experience. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and nice amenities. They were having the Halloween weekend while we were there, and it was so fun. Since it was our friends who reserved the site, I did not directly deal with registration and such, but our friends were pleased. They have free showers and a nice public bathroom area. They do restock the bathrooms and seemingly work hard to keep them clean. Worth noting is that this Halloween weekend seemed to foster a more party environment, though everyone was very respectful, and nobody was unruly. It was all about the kids, and they all seemed very happy as they toted bags-full of candy!
