Got htc a month ago and has been mostly useless. Barley getting enough connection for 1 tv! Wi-Fi off and on searches while connected to phone or laptop. Router has randomly shut off and stayed off for over 10 mins and then restarts itself. Very unhappy new customer

Worst service and product I've ever paid for. Unfortunately I have no other options for internet until next year but I've used their services for close to 8+ years now and its never been average. Speeds always vary wildly and I've had my internet crash constantly for at least the last 4 years. I can't express all the negative experiences that I have had first hand and heard about through friends. I'd never recommend this company to anybody that has any other option. They don't care about you or the service they provide. They may reach out and offer to fix any issues you have but they will never actually resolve the issues you have.

They have been an above and beyond provider for years. My neighbors old equipment return was even credited.

Overall I was very happy with the support for my service. The service itself was overpriced for the speed, but everyone I ever had contact with was a pleasure. I only cancelled sevice because I didnt want a cable hanging over our backyard. That said... I appreciate this company for taking care of me since I moved to this town 4 years ago.

Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely useless company, I pay for the best plan they offer and can't use more than two devices at a time. Everytime I call and complain they say there is nothing they can do. Wish they didn't hold a monopoly on internet but nothing I can do until starlink becomes available. Terrible service overall and would recommend LITERALLY any alternative.

I see a lot of negative reviews and a lot of false comments about "HTC is/has a monopoly."Folks, let's make this clear, this isn't a monopoly. That's illegal for one. Two: The biggest reason you don't have other options in the these areas is for one reason alone: The big companies don't consider small towns worth their time because their aren't enough people for them to justify installing all the infrastructure. It's not because they can't, it's because they won't. I work in the I.T. field and this is a very real thing for ANY company.Just ask them. Companies like Spectrum WILL run service to you.... if you are willing to foot the bill. The entire cost. Labor, materials, infrastructure, cost of easements, all of it. All on you. That said, they are a smaller local hometown company. I've seen complaints about having to wait before a tech gets out to you, and yet I've had plenty of experiences with other TELCOs that have been far worse. If supporting local business isn't enough, consider this, the tech support these folks offer is local too during their helpdesk hours, looks like 8am - 9am. Yeah, if you call you get someone out of state. Read that carefully, our of state. Still someone that speaks in clear English. I have no issues with anyone who speaks other languages, but tech support items can be exacerbated when there is a language barrier to work through. This isn't the big city. These are smaller rural communities. The fact that I see HTC trucks out there nearly everyday somewhere, trenchers, installing fiber optic cables, says these folks are working to improve their lines and equipment.Work with them and they work with you.

I had htc service for years and was paying for 15 mbps and only receiving maybe 1mbps. We asked repeatedly to improve the service but us country folk were not a concern of theirs. I have switched to Countrified WiFi and I am finally receiving the service I pay for. Thanks Claude for taking care of us and giving us such great service. Now htc calls and wants easement rights. I would say your a little late for that

DO NOT GET A NEW PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR BUSINESS FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE AN OPTION!! they will hold your number hostage forever and keep you from upgrading to better, more cost effective phone system solutions.

My internet is trash and we have called many times trying to fix it but they don't do anything about it and it just gets worse and worse have to use my hot spot so I can do my work it is just pitiful that they do nothing about it and we are probably going to switch soon.

Our WiFi connection has slowed down over the past month or to to the point that I can barely log onto my meetings. I used to be able to run a PlayStation and my meetings at the same time with good connection . Now I have to kick everyone off of the internet just to get enough connection to join my meetings. We live in a small town monopolized by HTC. I have called multiple times. Each time they just say they ran some test and it comes up normal. But when I test my connection now it’s a lot slower than it was about 3 months ago. I have tried resetting the router. That never works. Would not recommend HTC to any of my friends around me

This company is an absolute joke. I suffered with them for years until I moved away from Monroe county, but I have now found myself back here. My new apartment is exclusive with HTC meaning I am stuck with them. I moved in on the 16th and I was told that they cannot activate my internet until the 31st!... however after my EXTREMELY awesome leasing manager called them and tore them a new one someone “should” be here sometime this coming week. Not sure why HTC couldn’t have just done that for me to begin with... (We’ll see). Best part is I was told I would still be charged for the whole month, as well as a “One time connection fee“ AND to top that all off they do not include a router unless you rent it from them and that they “don’t negotiate that”. I wasn’t asking for a hand out I simply asked if they would split/get rid of the connection fee since I was getting charged a full month even though I wouldn’t have service. With AT&T in St. Louis they give you 1gbps fiber, a free router, and do not charge any “connection” fees for $60 a month.... with HTC for $34 a month I get 100mbps, no included router and I have a sneaking suspicion that I won’t even get close to the advertised speed since they never manage to do that. Worst part is they advertised my same plan online for like $25 but once you click on the internet plan you want it says “this promotion requires a phone service bundle”... shady marketing technique. HTC essentially has a monopoly over Monroe County so they make little effort to ever actually provide decent service because they don’t need to, as people have no other choice but to pay for their sub par service and customer service. If they can’t manage to have my internet on early this week I will probably just get AT&Ts 5G home hotspot... it’s only like $70 a month... yeah “pricey” but a lot more reliable. Imagine working from home and moving into an apartment and then not having internet for weeks, thank you HTC. Love that for me.Update: I just want to say HTC’s techs are always great as they are knowledgeable and care about customers since they actually have to work with us.. anyways on the 22nd a tech came to my apartment and set everything up for me. I wasn’t home at the time so my leasing manager let him in. I had a router still in the box and not only did he open it and set it up for me but he even took the time to write out the passwords for the routers app and the WiFi itself. Another awesome thing was he even tied up the excess wiring instead of making a mess. Unfortunately the situation involving the company as a whole is going to keep my review at a one star... if I could rate just the Tech it would be 5 stars. I’m glad to see the poor company culture hasn’t leached into the people out in the field. For a company that sucks at LEAST $30,000,000 in revenue annually from the surrounding area they should have plenty of resources to keep their hardware etc up to date, as well as employ enough people to provide a smooth experience for customers. I give it 5 years before a buy out happens or AT&T / spectrum get a large enough grip on the market to force them out and it will be for the better. ALSO guess my speed... so they advertised “up to” 100mbps, right? Well here I am at 28mbps. My literal cell phone gets 70mbps. HA.
