Card details were stolen, not their fault, but then they call, have you confirm the transactions 3 times, but you on hold for 45 minutes, then speak to another person and confirm the transactions again! Then they cancel the card, which I could have done, and don’t order you a new card or help contest charges, I have to wait till Monday, everything with this union is over complicated and inconvenient, so now I have to wait till Monday to even order a new card, I’m traveling the weekend and now have zero access to my account. SCU I’m absolutely done with you.

Years ago opening a bank account at the credit union was the way to go …. But after 3,000 dollars in fees in the past year … it is not …… I’m a single mom and started struggling financially this year and throwing 27 dollars at the air each time I was trying to do the right thing and pay my bills… making it impossible to catch up … yes you have the option to request refunds for the fees but only so much… I’ve prob only got less than 300 of the 3000 back through direct requests through the babk and attempts to have a company negotiate with them … but most negotiations have been denied as I really need the money instead of throwing it in the air at nothing especially since yyou can go somewhere else and not get nsf’s …. Also disappointed that they got rid of the easy pay loans bcz that leaves no options for people like me who may need a low interest loan . I requested a phone call per the messaging system bcz the day I requested it in regards to blocking charges that a company accidentally processed …. I was working and when your working you don’t have time to check emails/ app messaging systems in additions to regular calls and texts if you even can check your regular calls and texts bcz some people can’t at work ….. instead of the requested phone call I got a response stating I need to call my local branch …. Now it’s too late I have another 53 dollars in nsf fees … which I prob won’t get back …53 dollars is 80 percent of the bill I’m trying to pay and now I have to try to collect that money in time before I have to pay even more for that bill bcz of late fees … that will prob be added … frustrating I had the money but instead of putting it towards my debt it was spent on purely nothing resulting in me being further behind on all my bills …. I’m leaving Scott credit union bcz I can’t spend three thousand dollars on nothing …..?that’s money I could pay off a good chunk of my debt …. Money I could spend on my son …. To put food on the table …. To put toward charity but instead of being spent to do better it’s just lost in space …. I will not allow a bank to steal anymore of my financial freedom …. A bank should be financially supportive …. Never in my life have I had to worry about my account going into the negative struggling at times to put food on the table and pay my bills…. Time to save thousands and move on from this bank

Avoid this bank at all cost!!! They will manipulate bank transaction to get most fee possible. They screwed up royally when another SCU user cashed our check successfully, only to reprocess the check few days later causing NSF and removing the money from that customer account when the cash was already given to them and the check cleared. Accounting department was so baffled at this and admit they screwed up. We are done with this bank.

Do not bank here, no local number, no one answers the phone. Too many banks in Waterloo who will provide better service.

I don't like using the app I have always used your website to sign in because it will let you know if a direct deposit has made it to my account and it would say pending. I don't know why we can't have a choice

I would strongly avoid this place when applying for a loan. They wont answer any questions until you fill out an application and put a bad mark on your credit just to deny you. 9 out of ten times they will deny ur loan request unless you have a cosigner, Knowing this they will prompt you to fill out an application anyway. I applied for a loan a few years back and they denied me with lack of credit history 4 years later they denied me again saying I've never had a car loan. But it's funny that you have to have a previous car loan, in order to get a car loan which is impossible when you keep getting denied. If you are a new car buyer avoid this place at all cost, and dont risk an inquiry for them to deny you anyway.

The Waterloo Branch has always been a comfortable visit with small lines, friendly staff, helpful associates willing to meet as able without appointments to answer any questions. Altho the extreme bank rates are not so good right now, they are still competitive and worth the while. I feel like they know me there.

They have a pretty good mobile and web experience. I also appreciate the fact that i earn a decent amount of income from my checking account. I would recommend the place.

Scott Credit Union is the most IRRESPONSIBLE, UNORGANIZED, and CARELESS bank we have ever encountered. We have two vehicle loans, two checking accounts, and a savings account with Scott Credit Union and signing with them was one of the worst mistakes we've made regarding our hard earned money. The tellers and staff at Scott Credit Union in Waterloo IL are very rude and disrespectful. They are not concerned about their customers or protecting their money. MULTIPLE times they have "double dipped" into our accounts when withdrawing our vehicle payments and constantly have to correct and watch our accounts to make sure there are no errors or extra withdraws. Yesterday, we switched everything over to Midland States Bank (which by the way- Midland is by far the friendliest and most respectable bank I have ever encountered.) We will NEVER do business with Scott Credit Union again and will make sure all of our friends, family, and customers know the dangers of making an account with them.

Absolutely ridiculous! Their customer service is horrible and the slowest in town. Sitting in the drive through on a Saturday for 20 minutes because they have 1 person working! Shouldn't they know they need more than one person on a weekend?
