Was there on July 01st and again on the 4th as a stop-over. What a great little campground. Bill the host and Sheila the owner met us upon arrival and both were super friendly. FHU and level sites with the added bonus of a paramotor glider flying in the field, the helicopter coming and going and a small light aircraft landing and taking off in the field across from us. They have a bath house with laundry facilities as well. We will definitely stop there again.

Had a peaceful nite at this unique campsite on the edge of an air field in Watson, IL… emergency helicopter is based here and got to watch several take-off & landings…my site was pull thru so I didn’t unhook…camp host very friendly as well as helpful…gladly stay here again…

Great stopover. A few miles off the highway but great value. Super long level site pull through, 50 amp and full hookups all in good working order. No wifi or cable but we use our own. Very nice people and all was easy. Pet friendly. Will stay again.

This is an older but very well kept campground. The bathrooms were extremely clean. There are only 4 or 5 open spots the rest are permanent. The full hook up and price are great. We watched the life flight chopper take off and land. The campground is quite and though it is next to rout 45 the traffic is light. There is a small playground, this is not a campground to expect a bunch to do. There are multiple micro breweries and wineries within a dozen miles or so.

Exactly what we needed. Clean & well kept. About 6spaces for overnighters. Some helicopters made it interesting. $35 per night.

Nice folks. Cared for park. Small prop planes - not very used grass field airport. Fun to watch if one happens to come in or leave. FHU. Level. Easy access. (Go Navy). Owner clearly explains no wifi which isn't a problem for us. Decent signal on Verizon and even a couple of bars for Sprint. Minimal road noise. Can't hear the train go by except at the crossing when it blows it's whistle. Playground, laundry. Sites have picnic table and saw some fire rings. Back-in sites have large trees for shade as the sunsets. Will definitely keep on my list if passing through again.I appreciated that it didn't matter which direction you pull in to the campground for the pull-thru sites. They have them set up so every other can be accessed from the other side. Super easy in and out. Thank you.
