⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding service — every single time
I’ve been a regular customer of John’s Complete Auto Service for a long time, and I can honestly say they’re one of the best shops I’ve ever worked with. I’m not an occasional walk-in—I’m a high-maintenance customer with multiple vehicles, and they’ve handled everything from mechanical issues, tire blowouts, and electrical problems to getting my A/C back up and running on a 90-degree summer day.
No matter what I bring to them, they always make it work.
They’re busy (which is a good sign), but they still treat me like my business matters. They’re professional, grateful for the work, and genuinely appreciative of their customers—something you don’t always see anymore. Most people only write reviews when they’re upset, so I wanted to take the time to share a positive experience and give credit where it’s due.
This is a quality, trustworthy shop, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve received. Highly recommend.

Best shop ever! Their customer service is outstanding, and they always take great care of my car. Even after moving farther away, I still make the drive because they’re simply the best and I trust them completely. 10/10 recommend!

There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said in all of the other five star reviews. There are a lot of them and for good reason—Mark, Juan, Matthew and the others earned it. I have lived in Wauconda for 38 years and John’s Complete Auto Service has proven themselves time and again to be the best full service garage I have found anywhere in the area. In addition to being really good at what they do with cars and trucks, they are great guys who really make me feel respected and appreciated as a customer. If you live in the area, you might have noticed how full their parking lot gets during business hours. There’s a reason for that.

John’s Complete Auto Service in Wauconda is the definition of professional and reliable. I brought in my car with a nail in the tire, and they had me taken care of quickly and efficiently. The service was timely, the staff was friendly, and they were upfront and honest the entire way through.
As a military member, I really appreciated how they went out of their way to show genuine respect and support. It’s clear they truly honor those who serve, and that kind of recognition means a lot.
If you’re looking for a shop you can trust, John’s is the place. Quality work, fair pricing, and good people who stand behind what they do.

I’m local and do a lot of work myself and have swung by with quick questions or to get a code read before I had my own device and they’re always super quick and helpful. Recently I have a stripped locking lug nut that they were able to get off and will be doing my wheel bearing hub replacement soon. Mark and his staff are great and honest.
