“I own and operate a small general contracting company and so I frequently need a variety of rental equipment. I rent everything from concrete mixers to scaffolding and boom lifts. I've been in a rental store once or twice over 30 my years in business and these guys are without question THE BEST PLACE TO RENT EQUIPMENT!!! I will literally drive past other rental places closer to a jobsite just to rent from these guys. They've earned that level of loyalty from me. Danny and Glen are two of the most professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly managers you could ask for. They demonstrate an excellence in customer service you just don't find anywhere else. Colin, who runs the back end of the shop, gets me in and out, quickly and efficiently. They explain equipment operation thoroughly, load it, thank me for my business, and get me on my way. They are also all genuinely super nice guys and a pleasure to do business with. I'm always greeted by name and with a smile, even when they're up to their eyeballs busy. The staff at Rental Max Lake Zurich is the elusive trifecta of top notch people, top notch service and top notch equipment. I write this review as a well deserved compliment to Danny and his whole team. Nicely done guys!”

“Wasn't sure if they filled propane for residential customers, but I've always wanted to stop by and find out. You pull in past the gates and park in the spots either by loading docks (on the left) or the regular parking lot (on the right facing route 14). A person will be watching for walk-ups so you don't have to do anything just walk up to the edge of the loading dock (don't walk up on the actual dock though) and give him/her your tank. They fill it and give you a ticket showing how many gallons filled. In my case I had a standard Weber grill tank and he filled 4.3 gallons. You take the ticket in the office and pay. I paid $18.34 which comes out to $4.27 per gallon. Good price. Menards (just down the street) does refills at the Crystal Lake location as well (not all Menards do REFILLS -- but all Menards do exchanges), but they are tacking on a $5.00 surcharge for refills now so the total price for these standard BBQ tanks Menards is now more expensive than Suburban Propane. (Menards would have been around $21 bucks or so). So Menards is done with for now, and I'll keep refilling here. Only MINOR thing was it takes a long time to pay. I don't blame this fact on the employees though. The setup is old school contractor setup where an inside sales person has to sit at their desk and click their mouse several times to create an invoice before you can use the CC machine on the counter. I understand this as almost every contractor like place is like this. BUT if corporate wanted to get people in and out quicker (might increase sales if the line stacks up) then it'd be useful for all if they provided a more user/operator friendly point of sale system/setup. I'm sure the employees wouldn't mind either! ) Minor though....certainly won't keep me from returning. Summary, I recommend Suburban Propane in Crystal Lake to refill your outdoor grill propane tank(s). Take care.”
“Great service! This was our first time renting with this vehicle so we were a little nervous. Mike B was so helpful. The experience was great and we won't hesitate to rent again when needed.”
