“Thom Kapheim is an uncommonly gifted artist. His studio is a comfortable gallery in which one can view and acquire a wide variety of Thom’s original works in varied media. He often has printed works and collections of printed works available as well. I recommend calling ahead in order to determine that the studio/gallery will be open when you arrive. A visit will NOT disappoint you. Thom’s artwork is quite extraordinary.”

“This place is such a gem! Upon calling the store to inquire about whether they could frame an oversized painting Sharon called me back immediately with details. We worked with both Susan and Sharon, who are very knowledgeable in a no frills kind of way. We are absolutely in love with our framed painting which graced a large wall in our living room. The craftsmanship shows and looks so much better than another big box framed painting. Other pros: they provide delivery. Our driver was communicative and professional. They display/sell other local artists' painting in the area too. My husband and I had a great experience; we would definitely come back here again!”

“Pottery Classes: I have been a student at Neil Estrick Gallery for 2 years, and have worked with several other pottery instructors in the past. Neil is by far, the best instructor of the bunch. His expertise stems from a combination of formal ceramics education, over 20 years of experience, and a passion for his art. His teaching style is casual and funny, and the class atmosphere is relaxed, allowing one to work at their own pace.”

“A rare North Shore gem combining outstanding cuisine with art from local artists. As it's name implies, the Gallery is an art gallery, but with a kitchen and an extremely talented chef. The menu and art are both updated every 3 months. We have been to the Gallery for the past 5 menus and every visit has been excellent. The menu is very limited but offers enough options for most people (so far, there has always been a salmon, another seafood entree, a beef entree, and a poultry entree). While limited in choice, the execution of every dish is at the very top of the fine dining scene and could compete with most of the top rated restaurants in Chicago - in our experience the Gallery should be a Bib Gourmand contender. While the entree is the star here, two non-entree items deserve special mention. First, the deviled eggs with balsamic and bacon are so good we have felt many times we could just eat a few orders of deviled eggs and be happy, and are in the "must have" category (thankfully, these are on every menu so far). Second, the pastry deserts are executed at a level that I would not expect except at a Michelin starred restaurant. The deserts have been mostly different each visit, but they have always blown us away. Don't skip desert! Note that the Gallery has a very limited wine and spirits menu, but they encourage you to bring your own wines with a very minimal corkage fee.”
