Worst motel experience yet. Noisy, partying, strong smell of weed in hallways, parking lot dingy and scary

Really terrible motel. Staff was outside vaping when we arrived with a group of three others. Unpacked our car to find the first door to our building was broken, the card reader was out. The second door was also jammed and the card reader was broken as well. Both doors had spider webbed glass. We checked back in with them confused and they informed us to go around the building and use a third door. Super frustrating. Once we get into our room the beds are stained, burn holes in both the comforters, and the floor paneling is messed up. The photos they use on google and other booking sites are completely false. 90$ a night is a ripoff for what you get at this place.

This motel was horrible. They had people around the doors smoking drugs. They had a lot of fighting and prostituting going on. I will never go to that hotel again.

The location is good close to restaurants and walmart, Sadly i left within less than an hour of my arrival… our room A/C was not cooling at all and the room/ whole building smelled really really bad like cigarette to the point that everything in our bags ended smelling too. I just did not feel comfortable staying there with my 9 month old baby and other 2 kids. I had to find another nearby hotel to stay the night.

Since the new owners took over they really cleaned up the place they do there best to make it a nice place they go above and beyond to keep the trash away since taking over no more roaches rooms are clean and comfortable

Don’t stay here even if it’s free, there’s a dog in the room next to me that is barking nonstop all night long, there’s mold on the bathroom ceiling, the door is screwed back together, there’s lines through the tv, and you can see through the doorknob and see out the other side, and the bathtub is nasty as all get out

Ive been around the world and stayed at hostels and locations that have no running water or electricity, or are 12 people packed in a room. Even in Serbia across from a bombed out building. This is still one of the worst places I've stayed my whole life. The room I was i initially placed smelled of mold and smoke and hard drugs. When I realized, I asked for a refund, but because I checked in after business hours for Motel 6 'customer support', they would not give me a refund. They did let us change rooms but the new room had it's own problems and had no hot water or working TV.
It is convenient located to Gurnee Mills which is only nice thing I can say.

Arrived for naval graduation. Had a visible crumpled up dirty towel on Banister. Upon asking for an additional set of towels. As I had a double bed with a child and the room only had 2 towel sets. Including the Dirty towel. I was told to wait until morning bc the towels were being washed. I asked for an additional sheet set.... SAME ANSWER. As I was asking for a refund from Issac, he told me to call the place I booked with and another guest who had just checked in alone, Couldn't get in her room after walking to the additional building alone. A drug addict was stumbling around the building and Issac was very uncaring, rude to an extent and nonchalant about ANY of my issues.

The rooms are pretty clean. The staff were very helpful and nice. Only thing wrong was the pool. I saw a pool in the pictures from the website and upon arrival we decided to take a look and it was filled in with concrete. Other than that it is definitely worth the money and is only a 10 minute drive to six flags.
Nearby activities: Six flags is only a 10 minute drive.
