DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. This store is a poor excuse of a business. I have never had issues with Verizon but according to the agents that I spoke with, this particular retailer is not corporate and their terrible service reflects. Joe who presented himself as the store manager straight up hung up the phone on me. After speaking to corporate about this awful encounter they stated that the store manager is actually named Aaron? Mind you, I NEVER write reviews and I’m not sure who this Joe person thinks he is but it’s thanks to people like him that I’m compelled to write this review in efforts to save you some time. Please do yourself a favor and drive 10 mins to an actual Verizon store and avoid yourself of a terrible experience.

If i can i won’t give no stars, joseph known as Jo gave me and my boyfriend a whole lot of bullshit talk and couldn’t back none of them. He told us how the military plan will save us a lot, made my boyfriend even get an iphone upgrade saying it will only cost $15 a month with the wifi we got for a $100 dollars. he gave us two weeks to try everything out and said if we weren’t satisfied we could return it within that time frame. we went back a week an a half later to return it and he made another deal with us so we could keep the new iphone even tho we wanted to return it. My boyfriend took the phone back skeptically and when he returned it just before the time frame as jo asked he was asked to come back like three days later after when he went back the sent him away with the same excuse saying he should come back some other time because their network is down, this happened two more time until the 30 days return time was met and now they are like “ YOU GOTTA KEEP IT MAN, THE 30 DAYS RETURN TIME IS OVER” MAN whattttt? Its not his fault he couldn’t return it y’all gave bullshit excuses until date and now he’s asked to call a customer care to get a special kit for a return cause damn well we are not keeping that phone. Mind you this was from January 16 2025 to February 24 2025.
Save yourself the trouble and go to an actual verizone store it won’t take anything but if you go here they will give you multiple nonsense trip and no results.

Worst place ever! Never answers the phone. Has a note outside saying appointment only but yet there’s no one in the store and no phone number to make an appointment.

Was sold a defective phone. Was told I must take it back to a Russell Cellular location. Walked in to this location and the woman listened for 5 seconds before insisting she couldn’t do an exchange because they weren’t a corporate location. Gave me the address to a corporate location 45 minutes away. I asked how to tell what is a corporate location and what isn’t and she said “they have different pictures on the website”. Drove to the other location. They helped me and said there is no such thing as a corporate Russell!!’ Thanks for nothing Waukegan Verizon!!!

Came into the store and I had excellent customer service from Yuri. She didn’t let me leave without the issue being fixed. Thank you guys for your hard work and support for your customers!

They keep the door locked even when they are supposed to be “open” (3PM on a Sat), a worker was inside and saw us trying to open the door but he did not care. Bad experience for being our first time at this store!!!

I went in today to check out the new store since I have Verizon and pay an arm and a leg for my bill, Total by Verizon seemed like a good idea.When I entered the store Ramon was there with a smile and eagerly ready to answer any questions and give me as many details as I needed for making my decision. He was very up beat and had a great attitude; then again, everyone who was there seemed to be very nice!A++ on customer service.
