Dr. McKenzie listened to all our concerns, and presented multiple options in an easy to understand manner. When it became clear that surgery was needed, the surgeon, Dr. Weber, performed a seamless and minimally invasive procedure. She was quick to provide updates via phone call, and gave clear post-treatment instructions that have led to an easy-to-manage home care plan. We are so grateful to have our cat, Theo, alive and on the mend!”

“We are new to the area and had to choose a new vet for our 13 year old kitty, Fonzie, who hadn't been feeling well. Someone recommended Mundelein Animal Hospital and after reading the reviews, we made an appointment. The person I spoke to on the phone was very kind and capable, and was able to get us in the same day. We saw a vet assistant who took all of our information and then the vet came in. We saw Dr. Feltes who was absolutely wonderful. She gave Fonz a very thorough exam, took X-rays and blood work and explained everything extremely well. She was very gentle with Fonzie, as was her assistant. We never once felt rushed and it's obvious this staff really loves animals. The entire visit was as positive as it could possibly be, given we were there with a patient who didn't want to be there. I highly recommend this animal hospital!”

“Our puggle, Coco, has been a patient at VHAH for over 18.5 years... the staff at this facility are honest, caring, and objective. They have always been extremely helpful and are worth every penny - I find them to be quite reasonably priced.
Dr. Sneed, in particular, has been a beacon of hope and is someone we can trust completely. I truly can’t imagine taking my pet(s) anywhere else.”

“I've been to two other very highly rated vets in the area and this place is the best!!! First of all, you can get an apptvin a reasonable timeframe. Not months out! Three other vets would not work with my reactive dog and I, after trying a couple meds, said we needed a $600/hr vet behaviorist with multi month waits. Dr Malitsky spent an HOUR listening to my concerns, observing behavior, making recommendations, even did a desensitization session and the meds he needed to succeed. It was so much more than I hoped for. She was the FIRST animal professional in 8 months that had something positive to say about my dog ( instead of recommending returning to shelter for euthanasia, or saying it was going to be almost impossible) and for the first time I was hopeful. With the right meds and intensive training program, we've made so much progress, thanks to the Animal Hospital of Gurnee!”
“I want to thank all the doctors and staff here for taking such good care of my Steve when he needed it most. Although ultimately it was his time to say goodbye, I feel like the doctors here really, really tried and really cared about Steve (in particular Dr. Stone and Dr Gentry, but we saw all the doctors there!) even though we were brand new patients. I appreciate the sympathy card and I appreciate how much this office truly does care about the animals and families they see. Steve was a treasure and we will miss him so much.”

“The staff are friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. The health and wellbeing of my two cats is Care’s top priority and knowing that allows me to trust their recommendations/suggestions in making medical decisions.
Their boarding facilities are excellent. The staff allowed my shy cats the time to adjust without adding to their stress. For the two weeks they were boarded I did not worry about their health or safety, there was no need to as I trust the staff completely. I have also highly recommended the medical practice and boarding facilities to others and will continue to do so.”

“This is the best vet office/hospital in the Chicagoland area. Private equity is not a thing here. Dr. Donna cares about her patients and will charge reasonable prices. We drive an hour to make sure our dog gets the care she deserves. For the people who are complaining about appointments etc, you don't know the cost of running a medical office. Yes I have to leave a voicemail message, but at least I can afford to take my pets here unlike everywhere else where they upcharge you on every little thing. Thank you Dr. Donna!”

“Banfield Hospital in Gurnee is by far my favorite one! The staff is always pleasant they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Last time I took my dog and the veterinary technician helped me take him to the doctor while I carried my son. This was just simply amazing as a new mom and a dog mom it can become a bit overwhelming. Today I just took my childhood dog and we have been going to banfield for more than 15 years, he never like to come to the vet it was always a battle, the technician was kind enough to take her time and make him feel comfortable. Thank you Banfield Gurnee once again for the phenomenal service.”

The whole staff is careful, thorough and honest. Dr. Timm is one of those vets who I would travel from practice to practice to see, luckily I don't need to.”

“This place was great! We went at 4PM on a Saturday, so if you go then, expect a wait because it seems like they only had one doctor, but it was worth the wait. Dr Ray(hope I'm spelling his name right) was great! Incredibly knowledgeable and transparent. My guinea pig Lorelai had blood coming out of her, so after calling, they told me to bring her in. They didn't force anything on me and were open with the options available. We ended up opting to have the x-rays taken and found out she had calcium stones she was trying to pass. Dr Ray sedated her and managed to get the two out that were bothering her and informed us that she has more. He basically saved her life tonight, and for that, I'm eternally grateful.”
