Update October 2025
Once again Mariano’s Western Springs at its finest…... If you use digital savings make sure you actually get the savings when you checkout. Three to four weeks ago I got screwed out of digital savings on Tyson chicken even after sending my receipt and a photo of the product, including the UPC bar code. This week the digital savings for grapes didn’t post. Cashier was unenthusiastic to rectify and it took a supervisor to fix. They offered a lame excuse that the product must have been tagged incorrectly in produce. Be aware so you don’t get cheated. You can always register a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General Office if you wish.

Once again pathetic customer service. A very busy shopping day before 4 July even at 9:00 in the morning. Stocking blocking aisles making several aisles unsafely congested to impassable, checkout lines backing up into the food aisles, customer service of course personnel doing nothing to address congestion other than watching it all happen Hopefully Kroger will close it down and start over.

FROM NEXTDOOR I just went to Mariano’s in Westmont and had to use the restroom which I usually never do. Omg! Women’s restroom was awful. No toilet paper. Dirty. Missing soap dispenser. Toilet paper on floor. Broken door lock on stalls. Looks like they never fix anything that breaks. This causes me to rethink shopping there. I did mention it to a worker and she sounded surprised. It’s too bad as it was such a great place when it first opened

This is based on my experience last night with their self-checkout. The thing first complained that I did not bag my small item. Then, a couple items later, is ordered me to scan something that I had already scanned and bagged. At the end, it locked the screen and began flashing the Help light. A hapless, confused woman began fumbling with the machine, brought up a
fuzzy photo of me holding an item wanting to know what it was. I couldn't tell. The item count on their system matched the number of items in the bags. She still couldn't figure it out. I should have left but was hungry.
I have had similar hallucinations with their scanners before. They are probably playing with AI. I NEVER have these problems with self-checkout at Walmart. That is why I prefer to go there and their prices are half!

Has best choices of everything , always clean and stocked up. Lots of times you will have to go through digital coupons, but if you want to save , you gotta put it to work. Thanks Mariano's, it's good to have you .

Prices have skyrocketed! I took my wife their for burnt ends with two sides. They charged $3.50 for diet cola. Then the food was like $26.00 a piece. Side of cornbread which was soft n good n small bowl of beans. The burnt ends where cubed into sizes bigger than a dice. Thought it was crazy pricing. So lunch cost about $58.00. That's way more than inflation I think.
