Dr. Katie Guimon and her staff were amazing with helping me rehab a lingering Achilles tear injury. Dry needling and strength building exercises were our main focus .They were very professional and super patient during my recovery, and my leg/hip strength have helped me get back to running and king walks pain free for the first time in 11 months.Highly recommend Dr. Guimon and her Wheaton office .

Katie and all of the staff at DPT Wheaton are so wonderful. My care plan felt focused and progressive and when I "graduated" I was given the right amount of knowledge to keep up progress on my own. All around a great experience!

Everyone has been very nice and the environment was pleasant to be in. Everybody is fantastic, i worked with jeff, carl, brian, and pattie. Therapy has helped me with being in less pain and flexibility. I love to be here and strongly recommend coming to doctors of physical therapy if you ever need it. I learned a lot about my condition and the therapists designed a well thought out plan of care for me.

I had a knee replacement back in December and chose Dr's of Physical Therapy in Wheaton. It was a long process of therapy but I had a great physical therapist, Katie Weiss, PT, DPT that helped me through it all. I lacked confidence in the beginning in what my new knee could do and she helped me gain that confidence. As I continued to do my exercises at home as Katie instructed, I had milestones every day for recovery. The total staff at the Wheaton location was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Katie had an student assistant, Nicole, that helped me with my exercises and Jordan greeted me at the front desk every time I arrived. There was other helpful staff but I can not remember all the names. I would choose Dr's of Physical Therapy in Wheaton again when I need it.

In the beginning of August 2020 while dog walking in my neighborhood I tripped on the edge of a heaved section of concrete sidewalk. I lost my balance, fell, and impacted the concrete surface with the top of my right shoulder. The net result was an immediate 2 to 3 grade separated shoulder and several torn ligaments. This necessitated several doctor visits and an MRI scan to determine the exact amount of present damage and the next course of action that was needed to be followed. The consensus of all parties was to choose physical therapy over surgery. The last Orthopaedic doctor that I saw at a sports med facility recommended the local Carol Steam “Doctors of Physical Therapy” location. It was an easy process to book my initial therapy sessions over the phone and I started the following day. When I made my first visit I was impressed by the spacious, well equipped, and clean location. The first person I met of the excellent resident therapy “Team” was Brianne at the reception counter. Friendly and courteous she got me settled in ready to meet the rest of the team. Other members I worked with while attending there for the program sessions included the Doctor of Physical Therapy Brian, Therapist Mia and Tech Danielle. No concerns regarding Covid-19 protocol being correctly followed here! As you would hope temperature taking, Covid-19 exposure questions being asked and proper social distancing was observed. Used equipment was immediately disinfected. My first therapy session was a detailed review of my current physical situation in regard my visible damage in conjunction with my MRI results. On that basis Brian laid out the plan to begin my physical therapy program which eventually covered: a total of 10 sessions over a 6-week period and an ever evolving in office and home exercise programs that were easy to follow. My two goals that I set for myself at the beginning of my PT program were to be able to resume: 1. all of my normal day to day physical activities and 2. my handbell ringing at my church and in my Chicago Bronze ensemble that encompass handling bells that weighed up to 10 pounds each. The first goal I am happy to say has been successfully achieved. Regarding the second goal, Brian also provided additional exercises that I have begun which should allow me to eventually play those heavy bells again when my two groups resume ringing some time next year after the Covid-19 lockdown has been lifted. In summary, a great PT Team where all members work exceptionally well together and keep things moving along while you are in each session. Along with them being great listeners to my concerns as I progressed to regain my flexibility and strength, their encouragement provided a consistently positive atmosphere where ! really wanted to succeed. I cannot highly recommend them enough!

I tripped over a chair at the end of Feb 2020 and broke part of the ball just below my shoulder. After the first 6 weeks of being in a pillow sling, my orthopedic doctor sent me to DPT in Wheaton, IL to begin physical therapy. I have been very impressed with the degree of care I have received in the last 3 1/2 months. My bone has healed, but I am dealing with a frozen shoulder. Katie, the therapist, has always been encouraging and has helped me progress a long ways. It is obvious that she has had great training and experience to help me in the best way possible. The support staff has also been wonderful. I would highly recommend the Wheaton DPT to anyone in need of physical therapy.

My podiatrist said I needed physical therapy after foot surgery and told me, "You NEED to go see Katie (at Doctors of Physical Therapy in Wheaton) and she'll get this swelling down in no time." Wow, was she ever correct! I look forward to every single session I have with Katie. She is knowledgeable, intuitive, thoughtful, funny and incredibly talented at her craft. Her hands-on massages to my foot have done WONDERS in so many ways. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting an incredible physical therapist. It's going to be sad when I have to say goodbye.

I have been to many physical therapists in my life, but none like Katie Weiss at DPT. She is not only highly talented, gifted, and experienced but able to help each patient progress in an individual way that benefits them at a pace the patient can handle. If something doesn't work, she troubleshoots and finds another way. She is extremely encouraging, kind, motivating, and very sincere in her desire to improve your life. If you're hyper mobile or hypersensitive like me, she can deal with that. She is patient in answering questions, even repetitive ones, and her genuine interest is in helping the patient feel better and have a better quality of life. She truly is a gift to anyone needing p.t.!!!
