Poor Management and Unsafe Living Conditions:
I’m giving this a - 0 stars!!
Since Rosa Duarte assumed management, the property has significantly deteriorated. The buildings are infested with mice and cockroaches, and mold is widespread. Maintenance issues are routinely ignored or deflected with implausible excuses. I had to involve the Health Inspector to address severe leak and mold problems in my son’s bathroom.
Rosa is inconsistent in providing service, often showing favoritism. Communication with corporate is ineffective, calls and
e-mails go unanswered. Initially, I was hesitant to write a review due to concerns about potential retaliation. However, I am now safely away from Rosa and I am grateful for that.
Thanks in large part to Rick and Natalia, who ran the office with genuine care and compassion. They consistently went out of their way to help tenants whenever they could, even when their ability to do so was limited by management. It was clear they truly cared about the people living there, and their kindness made a difference. Having staff like Rick and Natalia really made a difference.
I do not recommend this property to anyone seeking a safe, clean and professionally managed living environment.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This place is filled with bugs I’m talking hallways, on lobby doors, garbage room, they started coming in my apartment. We had a “mandatory pest control cleanout and fumigation of every unit” a few days ago and now I have seen more bugs then before. Hallways smell like weed. side entrances smell like animal pee. Dogs are often without leashes. Packages are stolen. They painted the laundry room but the driers suck. All this and they still raised rent. Units are remodeled with cheap material I’ve had many many issues here and Rosa and her staff are no help and rude. Literally go anywhere else.

we lived there for long time, and we definitely going back if we need a 2bd again, thanks to rick, and rosa for all the good experience we were so happy leaving there.. definitely i’m missing my early sessions on the gym 💪..

I want to thank the management of the Manda Lane Apts. The manager Rosa Duarte has done an outstanding job. I applaud the excellent way she takes care of any issues that arise. I have been living here since 2019 and I lived with a roommate. I was about to move out due to no response from management, issues were never resolved, rent increases and the constant change in management. At this point the new manager Rosa started changing things. Maintenance would respond quicker and efficiently. The property was cleaner and some areas were upgraded. It is also a great that Rosa is bilingual. Since the new management I have had 2 of my friends move in and they are renting their own apartments. Manda lane apartments is a much better place to live in since Rosa and her team. Thank you again for the excellent work. Gerardo Gutierrez

Ive lived here for a couple of years now and have seen this neighborhood slowly lose its quality. People here steal things, packages, food, laundry baskets. Theres always a mess in the laundry room and in the elevator/halls. maintenance is great, but the community itself has really gone down the toilet.

This building is terrible. It smells like mold, and they don’t even clean the hallways. There are also tons of bugs—tiny red ants, cockroaches. Don’t move into this dump. They just try to manipulate you by saying there have been no complaints from previous tenants!

Id give 0 stars if i could. I have been here almost 3 years and it just keeps getting worse. Instead of fixing apartment issues rosa likes to argue before fixing it or even blame tenant for problems in unit. You have to keep calling for weeks before they fix the problem. I had to call code enforcement twice on two different apartments to get them to fix something. Moved in june 1st 2024 to the new apartment because the other one had mold. and when we moved in we told them how our window needed to be fixed. Had to call code enforcement for it to be fixed which took them until after winter when we told them in june about issue. Then it was our toilet leaking which was argued by rosa that it was condensation for months until finally they gave us a new toilet and now there are no issues surprise surprise. Bathroom shower tiles peeling and they said they can’t repaint it ( not really luxury to me). Bedroom door that they said they fixed still can’t shut correctly and rubs together but why bother putting another work order in when it really doesn’t get fixed.And now the cherry on top is i got a ridiculous email from rosa that the whole floor of my building will be charged for one person not taking their kids toys to the garbage in the back off 400 because they left it in the garbage chute room. Im sorry but thats not right at all. Me or anyone else shouldnt be paying for something we didnt do. Called coorperate number about it and havent got a response back. What you see in reviews are true they do have roaches and mice i caught mouse on video i will put pictures from video as well. They dont care to keep up with property to be very honest. Grills only worked once out the 3 years ive almost been here. Havent even got the chance to use it yet and you apparently have to ask for permission to even use it which is weird, but isnt it supposed to be apart of the Amenities? People leave laundry in machines for hours making it hard to get laundry done. Kids run in hallways as well as electric scooters in hallway, when there is a park outside and they continue to do even when ive brought it to property management multiple times. Elevator reaks of piss alot of the time because people let their dogs piss on elevator. This place has run down but i guess its because its the cheapest luxury apartments in area. Don’t move here unless youre ready for the problems that come with it. On the other hand Rick and natalia are always trying to help whenever i have any concerns !!
Update:
I got a call from barbra from Ansonia property regarding my google review on 5/22/25 and what they can do to make it better and what else needs to be fixed in my apartment. Where i told her the door to my bedroom cracks a little more each time i close my bedroom door. Which I stated earlier in my review. Its been almost 3 weeks and Maintenance never came so i called barbra again today on 6/10/25 to reiterate that maintenance has yet to come fix the bedroom door.
Maintenance continues to not fix problems in a timely manner. Will keep updates in reviews.

I have lived at mandalane apartments for severela years now . The management run by Rosa Duarte make it easier to communicate when issues come up. Maintenance makes sure to get the problems in your unit resolved quickly.

My family and my self have lived at mandalane apartments for 12 years now .
Living here has a lot of good perks starting with the complex it self . Management makes it safe ,clean, and comfortable. The environment feels great .
The gym in the club house it’s always clean and organized, parking is well lit , lobby is always clean , laundry is always clean and functional , outside walk ways are welcoming to use them .
Location of complex it’s also outstanding providing a short commute to all kind of businesses.
Walmart, Target, 24 hour Walgreens, 24 hour gas stations, jewel , chipotle , Jamba Juice, Cinnabon, dealerships, Train Station. I could go on and on
We have it all.

the new owner doesn't know what he is doing, after living here for 5 years and 3 owners this is the worst place to live in, told them I'm on disability after hip replacement surgery and said I was going to be late on rent they are evicted me by the 11th, always paid on time but that doesn't matter, when I first moved in that was cockroaches holes in the wall low water pressure and all the paint in the bathtubs are peeling and the floor peels upwards.

Great community overall. Big thanks to Rosa and Natalia in the leasing office. A huge shoutout to Horacio and the rest of the maintenance team and Liz too. Rosa and Natalia has been responsive and eager to listen to our concerns. They did everything to help us. Will miss this place :(

I have been living here for almost 12 years. The present management headed by Rosa has been the most helpful, accommodating and friendly. They are willing to help in anyway they can. My apartment now is bigger than the last one I stayed here for 11 years. They are so nice to move me to the same type of apartment but bigger. With new floorings, bathrooms and kitchen. I cannot ask for anything more. Even the maintenance people are so accommodating and helpful in many ways. This team is the best group ever.

Rosa and Rick have been great. Not just great to deal with but great people. They stay on top of any issues I've had and always extremely easy to deal with. Rosa always has her door open and I really appreciate her for everything. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. I definitely recommend Mandalane!!!
