The Wheeling Park District is a vibrant and invaluable hub for the community, managed by an elected seven-member board. The renovated Park District Building features stunning facilities, including gyms, an indoor swimming pool, and functional spaces for various activities. The Park District offers a wide range of recreational programs, park management, capital development, and general administration services across 21 sites on approximately 350 acres. Special events like the Kids Fest are a hit, with bouncy houses, slides, free balloons, ice creams, and live music, making it a fantastic place for both kids and adults to enjoy. The fitness membership, which includes the pool, gym, and group exercise classes, is an excellent value, and the pool is well-utilized with plenty of lap swim times available. The Park District also hosts various sports activities, such as indoor soccer (futsal), pickle ball, and badminton, as well as family swimming and party hosting opportunities. The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff is always friendly, making the Wheeling Park District a highly recommended destination for the community.
We enjoyed a beautiful reception here, but the venue also has a magnificent pool and sports facilities.
