Very caring and personable pharmacy staff. The new pharmacist is very customer centered. My experience is that he truly goes above and beyond for the patient. Highly recommended!

Walgreens Pharmacy
Willowbrook, IL
Rude and Disrespectful Behavior at the Pharmacy Counter.
Felt Humiliated and Dismissed – Will Not Return

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding an interaction I had at your Willowbrook, Illinois location today, June 13, 2025, at approximately 1:30 PM.
I visited the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that had been updated by my physician. I noticed a discrepancy on the Walgreens app and approached the counter to ask a clarifying question. The individual assisting me—whose name tag read Leonie—refused to make eye contact, did not respond to my question about the prescription, and offered no basic courtesy or professionalism. I asked if she had heard me; she still did not acknowledge me and finally muttered, “Your prescription will be ready on Monday,” without further explanation.
When I gently asked if there was a problem and explained that I was traveling and needed the medication, she began to roll her eyes, visibly flare her nostrils, and acted with clear irritation. I asked if I had said something wrong, to which the pharmacist, Tanya—someone I have known and respected—responded unexpectedly by accusing me of “bullying” Leonie. This accusation felt both unfounded and deeply upsetting, especially given that I was calmly trying to gather important information about my heart medication.
Leonie then told me to “go sit down” and that she would not be discussing it further. I did as she asked. A few moments later, without approaching me directly, she loudly called out my name and demanded my address. When I responded with confusion, noting that she had just told me to sit down, she walked off and transferred the transaction to another staff member, Hannah, effectively treating me as the problem.
I left the store feeling humiliated, dismissed, and deeply disturbed by how I was treated. I’ve always believed that pharmacies—especially those handling sensitive cardiac prescriptions—should be safe, respectful spaces for patients. That was not my experience today. Instead, I was met with passive aggression, condescension, and public disrespect.
I am no longer comfortable filling my prescriptions at this Walgreens location. If this is reflective of current pharmacy culture at your stores, I would hope it is addressed. No patient deserves to be treated this way—especially not while managing a serious health condition and simply seeking help.

Do not try to fill a prescription here. This is the most poorly run Walgreens I have ever been in and I've probably been in at least a hundred of them. I just went to the front register to try to ask them a question. The two girls were telling a story and literally made me sit there for 3 minutes before they asked me what they could help me with. Went to the back and there's 25 people in the prescription line. Got in my car to go to the drive-thru. There's 10 people in the drive-thru line. I sat there and waited 14 minutes and not a single car moved. I give up.

I live Walgreens I can found more of what I need and always there are so kind and treat me with love and patience ❤️❤️❤️🤭🫠 I’ll back happy to get more hair care products (and I really like how Verica, was so nice all the time. Showing me and answering questions about my hair and it was nice like shopping with my friends) ♥️😌

Received multiple $75 gift cards from this location with receipts attached that have $0 balance on them. When calling the store, the only help given was the gift card hotline which is basically a dead end. Do NOT purchase gift cards from this location unless you want your money stolen. It’s sad that people put money together to provide me with a sweet house warming gift and these employees rob them.

I don't know where to begin re the incompetent pharmacy staff beside Matt. Matt is fabulous. I spoke w/the manager Lee about a pharmacy worker who can never process requests properly after being there for almost 2 years. It happens every single time I deal with her. The manager's constant excuses for her employees' lack of knowledge and training is poor. Constant excuses. I asked why hasn't she been trained? Answer was because it's very difficult to process & that only 2 people know how to do it. I then asked what if something happens to the only people who know how to process this because you're a team and all should know how to handle these things and cover for each other. Can someone teach her step-by-step & she write the steps down? A good manager would listen to clients' constructive suggestions openly rather than defensively and solve the problems. I now have to be inconvenienced & make another trip back to pick up my medicine because the worker couldn't process it correctly and gave the wrong information and wrong price. Not to mention the time and inconvenience spent calling to get this figured out. No customer should have to do that. There's reasons why these reviews are so bad. As a manager/leader one should want to better her team and make sure all are competent and able to process requests correctly. I'm stating facts not trying to argue. Headquarters really needs to step in and resolve the issues that all these customers have mentioned. Matt is an excellent employee. Extremely helpful and always willing to go above and beyond to get the customer what he/she needs. I KNOW when dealing with him, it will get done correctly or he will give me suggestions or guide me so I can get it resolved.

After this pharmacist got angry and cursed out one of my coworkers they then left a poor review where I work. Just because they didn't get the answer they wanted. When I contacted walgreens manager they assured me it would be dealt with and the review correct. No such occurrence has happened. I have reached out for a status many times with no result. Truly disappointing this pharmacist feels this is acceptable behavior. Maybe LIRIJE needs a snickers from the counter. Normally I would not make such a review but considering her behavior and also making a review it seems balanced.

They don’t answer their phone
I had to go there myself and the pharmacist was so rude, she refused to fill my prescription because it was near their closing time and asked me to wait until the next day despite my severe swelling and need for antibiotics

The pharmacist is the rudest person I have ever met. Doesn’t care to take one second to help you and even will yell at you for wasting her time.

I don't usually go to this walgreens but was in a pinch. As the looks of past posts, they get a lot of 1 stars due to poor service. The young lady clearly needs to learn good customer service. I bought makeup that was tagged clearance, and she refused to honor the price and even laughed in my face. I would not suggest this store to anyone. I will just return this after today and shop at more customer friendly stores that honor items tagged wrong. If I could give them a zero, I would have.

Cashier was very nice but this Walgreens is the dirtiest Walgreens I’ve ever seen floors were gross and bathroom looked like it has not been cleaned in months.

Consistently have problems here. I am a diabetic and when I order my medication and am given a date to pick it up I expect it to be ready or at least be notified of any delays. Today makes day 5 and I am told it is still going to be 2 more days until it comes in. Today is Sunday February 4th and it was supposed to be ready on the 31st of January. I am told it will come in on Tuesday now. I have contacted the regional office before about other issues and got blown off by them. If you do get your prescriptions here count your pills and make sure everything is correct before you leave. Once you leave they won't fix anything.
